Unit Goals
Essential Question: • How do I discuss what activities I or someone
else likes to do?
Objective:• I can tell WHAT I like and don’t like to do for
entertainment.
Gustar
• When we talk about what we like to do we use the verb Gustar.
• The verb Gustar does not conjugate like a regular –ar verb.
• Instead, we take the 3rd person form of the verb (el or ella form) to create “gusta”
• We then add “me”, “te”, or “le” in front of “gusta”
Gustar- to like
• I like• You like• He or she likes
• Me gusta• Te gusta• Le gusta
Examples using gustar
• I like to swim• You like to read• He likes to dance
• Me gusta nadar• Te gusta leer• Le gusta bailar
