Unit 02Basic Salon Reception
DutiesSophie Kidd
Appointment booking.Task 1
• Every salon needs to book there appointments in somehow.
• Most salons use appointment books , where they record the name of the client , the date and time and what they’re having done and who by.
• Other salons may use technical booking services , by booking appointments through a computer data base.
• Salons mainly prefer to use a book , to record their appointments as it can’t get deleted like it could if it was saved on a computer. Appointments could easily be deleted and there is also the risk of a technical breakdown.
Services available and advertising.
Task 2• Many salons advertise their services
and treatments available , through handing out flyers , putting up posters and having them advertised on the reception desk.
• At reception desks they can also have appointment cards and business cards.
