Purpose of the CourseTo provide the student with wildland fire behavior knowledge applicable for safe and effective wildland fire management activities (wildfires, fire use and prescribed fire).

characteristics of fuels, weather, and topography that influence wildland fire behavior.

• Describe the interaction of fuels, weather, and topography on wildland fire behavior and safety.
