2.0 License Agreement

The purchase of “n” licenses allows you to install the software on “n” office machines (stand-alone

workstation, network, server, map drive, or combination thereof). If you install the software on a network

(WAN or LAN), it is made available to many but only “n” instances of the software may run concurrently at

any given time.

Additionally, it is also acceptable to install a single license of the software on a portable laptop or home

computer for access to the software outside the office.

You may obtain our complete licensing policy by visiting:

https://download.unisoftgs.com/License_Agreement.pdf.

3.0 Serial Numbers, Registration Numbers, and Activation Codes

At the time of purchase, you will receive a unique 10-digit serial number (i.e. #####-#####) and a

temporary 23-digit activation code (i.e. ###-#####-#####-#####-#####) that will allow you to activate your

license and use the software immediately.

Serial numbers are unique and refer to a specific license. They are provided with the original electronic

delivery. If you misplaced your serial number, you may get a new one free of charge by contacting us at

[email protected]. Please provide your name and address.

The registration number is a 15-digit number (#####-#####-#####) unique to the installation. Your

registration number is built at the time of the setup and will be required to obtain future activation codes.

Your registration number is displayed in many places within the software including in the “About” window.

IMPORTANT

All our activation codes are machine-specific and are designed to expire. They cannot be re-used. If you

are required to re-install the software on another folder or machine in the future, you may obtain a new

activation code in seconds via our online registration feature located under the main "Administration"

menu of the software and entering your unique serial and registration numbers. This process takes a few

seconds and is available 24/7.

4.0 Installation and Setup

Our software is installed by executing the latest Setup.exe file downloaded from our website. Our

software has been developed in accordance with Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 (32 and 64-bit) and may be

installed in the folder of your choice. Manually transferring files and folders from a previous installation will

not work and will corrupt existing license files. Full administrative privileges are also required.

After installing the software for the first time, it will run as a DEMO version. If you purchased a valid

license, you will be required to activate it using your unique serial number and activation code. Installing a

minor upgrade over a previously activated license will not require re-activation.

Our license policy and technology allows you to install the software and activate it in multiple ways:

• A single setup and activation on a stand-alone machine or client.

• A single setup and activation on a network (WAN or LAN) to be shared with multiple clients. This

model allows you to maintain and manage a single copy of the software.

• Multiple setups on multiple clients but sharing a common activation to the same licenses. This

model requires you to maintain and manage multiple copies of the software.

5.0 Software Activation

Until activated, the software will run as a DEMO. Activation of the software is performed via the

“Activate…” option located under the main “Administration” menu. The activation code dictates the type of

version (Basic, Standard, Professional) and the number of seats.

6.0 Single Stand-Alone Activation

Use this option to install the software on a single stand-alone machine or laptop if you plan on being the

only user with access to the software. This is the simplest of all setups. Only those logging into your user

account will be able to use the software.

To complete the activation, you must enter your unique serial number and activation code. Under this

option, the licensing files will be saved in the User’s Windows Default Common Application Data and

updated every time the software is open or terminated.

7.0 Network Activation

Use this option to install a single instance of the software on a network or a public drive if you plan to

share the license(s) with multiple users.

To complete the activation, you must enter your unique serial number, your activation code, and identify a

unique public folder where the licensing files will be updated and maintained by the application every time

an instance of the software is opened or terminated.

8.0 Connect to an Existing Network License

Use this option to connect a new instance of the software to an existing license. This model assumes that

at least one instance of the software is already setup and activated as a network version as described in

Section 7.0 Network Activation.

To complete the activation, you must browse to an existing public folder where the licensing files reside.

You will not need to enter your serial number or activation code.

9.0 Expired or Invalid Activation Code

The activation codes you received are machine-specific and are designed to expire. They cannot be re-

used. If you must re-install the software on another folder or machine in the future, you will require a new

activation code.

You may obtain your new activation code in 3 ways:

• Via our “Online Registration” feature located under the main Administration menu. You will need

to enter the unique serial number you received at the time of purchase. This process takes a few

seconds, and is available 24/7. A new unique activation code will be sent immediately to the e-

mail address provided.

• Via our website by visiting https://www.unisoftgs.com/activation/. You will need to enter the

unique serial number you received at the time of purchase and your unique setup registration

number. This process takes a few seconds, and is available 24/7. A new unique activation code

will be sent immediately to the e-mail address provided.

• Via e-mail by contacting us at [email protected]. You will need to provide us with your

unique serial number and unique setup registration number. A new unique activation code will be

sent to the e-mail address provided within 2 business days.

10.0 User Management

Our licensing is managed internally by each instance and uses third party licensing management software

or a separate process. Failure to terminate the software from within or a premature disconnection from

the network may corrupt the Users.List file.

It is possible to view and manage users connected to the application via the “Advanced…/Manage

Users…” option located under the main “Administration” menu.

Disconnecting a user from the application will allow him/her to save data but will not allow him/her to run

an analysis if all the seats under your license are in use.

11.0 Advanced

Our licensing is managed internally by the software itself and does not rely on a third party licensing

management software or separate process. Our licensing files are updated each time a new instance of

the software is started and terminated.

The main two licensing files are:

#appname#_Licence.xml

#appname#_Users.list

For a single stand-alone activation, these files are located in the Windows Default Common Application

Data. For a network activation, these files are saved in the public folder of your choice when activating

your license.

IMPORTANT:

These files are protected against tampering. Modifying and moving these files manually will corrupt them

and re-activation will be required.
