'1984' by George Orwell. 30 Years on; '2014' by a roadshow of audience-chosen under radar “Ones To Watch”. Artists n Audiences with something to say. 4Real. Ask them.

CuT (pictured above, photographed by Hana Knizova http://www.hanaknizova.com/ ) and Mourning Birds (new rock thrills magnetising new friends, with Radio 1 already playing both bands) join this growing rock n roll circus alongside Fur Cough, Rhiannon The Nightmare, 16 Hole Boots, Jean Genie's Massive Hugs, Freewheelin' Troubadour, Stella+, Hall Of Strangers, Aeromancy and Dizzy Spell and more mixing live performance with photography, art, filming, projections, style and party-hearted DJs.

This is an invitation to a Temporary Autonomous Zone, socially inclusive, with those on and off stage woven into whimsical tales that you could not make up. Feeling it important that these artists are experienced at close range, we're keeping entry affordable for the high percentage of creatives that consistently make the future at Rocklands moments.

Roll up, roll up! Mover shakers, Jean Genie Graham and Dizzy Spell invite you on this noisy, adventure. They respectively DJ and curate/compere the first event, sing and play live at the second. Our audience members pass the “performing parcel”, so to speak, with each show. The third line up, for March, is currently being confirmed.

"The London-trotting Rocklands brand, which is now cropping up all over our fair city, always with sterling guitary talent and an impeccable party vibe" (Pulse)

Rocklands events started locally with Pop Of The Tops Club (“The CBGBs of SE14” - NME)

Shows and co-promotions across London and beyond included tips like Factory Floor, Bloc Party, Breton, Tinie Tempah, Art Brut, Cave Painting, Kate Tempest and Hatcham Social, to name a handful now on bigger stages... We (again) recommend catching our latest LUVZ for 2014 at close quarters. Join the usual cakes-n-socialising funshine welcome, early doors. Be seeing you. @rocklandstv

“Our new favourite rock n rollers” (London On the Inside – Band Of The Month).

Space punk with fantastic psychadelic pop sensibilities. Already getting played on the Radio In the USA as well as Radio 1, Xfm etc in the UK, CuT deliver a full on blast of riffs and beats in loud, rock-god-showy dance/jump around and have fun STYLE. This music has ignited a fizzing fuse of growing reputation throughout 2013, winning admiration with powerful gigs/downloads and releases, plus early radio support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Xfm etc. “London band CuT sound like a lot of your favourite bands ... The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Ramones, Sonic Youth, The Sex Pistols and Swell Maps” (Louder

Than War – New Artist Of The Day/2013 New Band Of The Year). 'Get Me A Gun' video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=QZuYNgQYcbQ * 2014 is set to go off with a very noisy POP! Following their recent Shoreditch Radio live stream appearance, CuT are recording an Xfm Xposure studio session for music guru, John Kennedy 22nd of January. There will also be an interview and first play of the new single, 'Time Traveller' from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music.before they hit New Cross Inn on 15th February. http://www.cut.uk.com/

Rhiannon The Nightmare

"New Cross meets Nashville" (Pulse Arts).

(snapshot; The Zine photographer, Rupert Hitchcox photographs RTN singer, Rhiannon Carr in the New

Cross Inn, for Chapter 1 of #TheZineUK)

Songs about heartbreak and beer.

Raised in the deep south east by the New Cross delta on canned lager, chewing tobacco and heartache, Rhiannon the Nightmare has come to put the naughty back into jaunty and the barn dance back into rock and roll. As Handpicked.com note; "An up and coming crooner who wears her heart and more on her sleeve, Rhiannon the Nightmare tells tales of relationship woes that are beautifully written. In layers of irony and wit she manages to strike the balance between brutal honesty and romantic desires/notions that amuse and yet provoke sorrow too". https://www.facebook.com/rhiannonthenightmaremusic

Striking verse meets existentialism prose

through surrealist sentiment. Fur Cough's lyrics equally compliment and contrast some of the loudest but most beautifully crafted Rock n Roll in the land. The band themselves live a vampiric existence flitting between the closing times of various Camden haunts and immersing themselves in scandalous decadence, emerging each day stronger, but a little more dishevelled than the one before.http:// facebook.com/furcough

Mourning Birds: Medway mad way gutter punk blues. Recent debut 'Oh Yeh!' is 105 seconds of loud carnage like a smack in the face with a frozen killer whale. It incited play from various BBC Introducing shows, multiple independent Band Of The Day / Week picks / sessions, streamed on NME Buzz Playlist, played on BBC 6 Music as well as Jim Gellatly, Gill Mills and The Rock Show on Amazing Radio. Radio 1's Huw Stephens loved it so much that he played it twice. Back to back. Their ''British balls-out garage-rock ' (NME) translated to an engaging December launch gig with an extended crew of rowdy fun. In short, their first year was a good start. https://facebook.com/mourningbirds

The Freewheelin' Troubadour – Author of essential poetry collection 'Freewheelin' In Monument Valley' available via Funpowder Plot http://thefunpowderplot.com/tft/ lyrical motor of spontaneous words and beats with Black Baby Jesus, poet in resident of the Panda Power events hosted by Jean Genie Graham, and all round inspirational motivator. Hear. Believe. https://facebook.com/thefreewheelintroubadour

16 Hole Boots. We have a very special acoustic set by Richey Ostrowski, the front man and guitarist who has already been compared to a young Julian Cope. Post punk newer wave, 16 Hole Boots are in the gutter – but they've got their eyes fixed firmly on the kerb. New Cross will be a little 70s New York for a while... http://16holeboots.bandcamp.com

Jean Genie's Massive Hugs Jean Genie Graham, singer song writer promoter scout DJ radio presenter/producer creator. The epitome of music loving sunshine down the front at the best gigs. Her gorgeously crafted songs fuse folky pop n bluesy rock. Having graced cool events (including Hop Farm) and made her first (impressive) recordings, Rocklands is chuffed that one of our own is such a star turn, and blossoming. Dizzy SpellThe “Possible bastard child of Bolan and Burroughs“ ArtBeat activist and multi tasking talent will be a curator, a compere and play an acoustic set at the first two shows alone! @MissDizzySpell

Dizzy, woven into the tale at a Rocklands gig, came back, played with her band. Dizzy Spell & The Side Effects killed Malcolm McLaren and the rest is whimsical future.

Hmm, seems to be quite a few images by Rupert Hitchcox. 2014 marks a five year Once Upon Another time of uniqulture. Rupert has been living the life at the best new music events, experiencing the development, roller coaster and special moments of so many artists with great songs. #TheZineUK / Team Rocklands. Uniqulture

“Born at The Zone Of Time (well, 15 minutes walk away in Deptford), Uniqulture is multi culture minus the divisions. Creativity and sportsmanship forged it. Art and music in the planet's capital of melting pot (London) lives it.

Without being regarded as genders, sexual preferences, ages, colours, religions, body shapes, clothing brands, abilities, classes etc we can get on with the real stuff like dreams, hopes and obsessions. Its a punky reggae party more hip hop hippy than hipster but the artists are cooler than a Tory heart. Poetic souls spawn art beat. Creatives get involved and document experiences. There are many Playing Class Friends on the stages, dance floors and decks, at the bar or in spirit, on line. Its a musical journey that calls wherever the “Planet Water” (i.e. parallel dimension to the world on the NEWS(Olds) wavelength exists. Talents consistently take off from Rocklands runway.

This is the Sci Fi Hi Fi WiFi life I lead.” (A Love Pirate.) http://facebook.com/uniqulture
