The site of the infamous ‘bad boys’ camp, Colditz was utilised as a maximum security prisoner of war facility and was fraught with a constant battle of wits between the imprisoned Allied officers imprisoned and the German guards. We visit the castle’s museum. Some more intriguing artefacts are the variety of escape devices used during more than 300 daring escape attempts during the war, of which only thirty were successful. Visitors can also descend to the tunnel built by French prisoners. B,D

All services and accommodations are subject to the laws of the country in which they are provided. YLG reserves the right to make changes in the published itinerary whenever, in their sole judgment, conditions warrant, or if YLG deems it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of the tour. YLG reserves the right to withdraw any tour announced. YLG reserves the right to decline to accept any person as a member of the tour, or to require any participant to withdraw from the tour at any time, when such action is determined by the tour manager to be in the best interests of the health, safety, and general welfare of the tour group or of the individual participant. In that event, Unique Rail Journeys assumes no financial responsibility for any unused portion of the tour.

Neither does YLG accept liability for any carrier’s cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a nonrefundable airline or other ticket to the tour departure city and return or otherwise. Baggage and personal effects are the sole responsibility of the owner at all times. Participants may be photographed for the promotional purposes of YLG.

YLG “package prices” are subject to change without notice. Unique Rail Journeys reserves the right to correct errors in pricing. We reserve the right to cancel an advertised tour, decline to accept a reservation, or remove a person from a tour if it is determined by our representative to be in the best interests of the health, safety, and general well-being of the other tour members. We will make every effort to operate our tours as planned, but we reserve the right to make itinerary changes as necessary. If unforeseen circumstances require us to change a hotel or another portion of the trip, we will select alternative accommodations of the same or better quality. Cruise itineraries may change due to factors such as government regulations, water levels, or weather conditions. By making payment for your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this document, in particular to the limitations of liability and responsibilities set forth above.

BINDING ARBITRATION Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating in any way to these Terms and Conditions, to the Responsibility Clause, to the brochure, or any other information relating in any way to the trip, or to the trip itself, shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in accordance with the then existing commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association in Massachusetts. In any such arbitration substantive Massachusetts law will apply. The arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to any claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable.
