•Developed to provide an intelligent system to track CCRs and the PLSS layer of the digital line graphs (DLG)

What will be covered We will discuss the need for a UniqueIdentifier for Land Corners. Explain how andwhy we decided to use the system developed.We will discuss some of the problems thatbrought about the change from the old systemto the new one.This section will discuss what corners areidentified. Emphasis will be placed on theCertified Corner Record program.
How it worksWe will review the new format and workexamples of how the numbers are assignedwithin a township. Many variations will beaddressed showing the method of assigningidentifiers to each type of Public Land SurveySystem land corner.
The SystemThere will be figures provided to cover most ofthe varied corner configurations found inFlorida. We will spend some time determiningnumbers for a sampling of corners. A sectionwill be devoted to the assignment of the 8-digitlocator that allows a corner to be uniquelylocated anywhere in the state.
