LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR
Dear St. John’s University Community,
From Humans of New York creator Brandon Stanton speaking at St. John’s and inspiring our own #HumansofSJU campaign, to Dr. Conrado “Bobby” Gempesaw making great strides in his first year as President, the University made headlines locally, nationally, and internationally throughout 2015.
St. John’s University has an image as a leading Catholic, Vincentian, Metropolitan, and Global educational institution. This image was proudly presented by our many experts who were able to be a part of history and participated in Pope Francis’ first visit to the United States in September.
Our esteemed faculty’s expert opinions were quoted in hundreds of major local, national and international media outlets including Aljazeera, World Politics Review, The Wall Street Journal, NY1, Fox 5, The New York Times and the Queens Chronicle, among many others.
In this year’s Media Impact Report, you will see that the important work inside and outside of the classroom by our students and faculty has impacted our community and was covered by the media.
These media placements are equivalent to millions of dollars in advertising. The Office of Media Relations is proud to share these snapshots as highlights from this past calendar year.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth ReillyDirector of Media RelationsSt. John’s University
