STRATIGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF THE ALAGOAS STAGE LOWERCRETACEOUS: ARARIPE, TUCANO/JATOBA, PARNABA AND

SANFRANCISCANA BASINS

Focus on the most important outcrops of the Brazilian Alagoas Stage (~Aptian), an important unity to the comprehension of the rift-driftetransition in Brazilian coastal basins.

Facies studies, definition of key-horizons and depositional sequences,

correlation of sections etc.

USING QUANTITATIVE GEOPHYSICAL METHODS TO

CHARACTERIZE CARBONATE PETROLEUM RESERVOIRS

Definition of the architecture and the tridimensional distribution ofcarbonate petroleum reservoirs combining seismic and well data with

visualization methods. Seismic attributes, neural network, and seismicinversion (acoustic impedance) are going to be apllied.

ENVIRONMENTAL OIL SPILL SENSITIVITY ATLAS

FOR THE SO PAULO LITTORALThe So Paulo coastal zone is in connection with the Santos Basin. Itslittoral is being divided in several areas. For each one, oil spill sensitivityindex values are being calculated and the segments ranked acccordingto degrees of sensitivity. The ranking is shown in maps. The study isstrategic in terms of protection for the ecosystems.
