Responsibilities include the following: - Catalogue textbooks in Excel - Translate titles, subjects, dates, and any other relevant publication information into English or French - Shelve and store books accordingly REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS The prospective junior consultants should be able to demonstrate to following qualifications: EDUCATION: Equivalent to graduation from secondary school SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: - High personal motivation, self-management, and accuracy; ability to take responsibility in meeting tight deadlines and making progress without direct supervision - Meticulous attention to detail - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multilingual environment LANGUAGES - Excellent knowledge of one of the working languages of the Organization (English or French). - Working knowledge of Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Burmese, Czech, Khmer, Sinhala, Estonian, Finnish, Georgian, Greek, Dutch, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indu, Indonesian, Farsi, Hebrew, Kazajh, Korean, Kyrgyz, Lao, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Nepali, Norwegian, Urdu, South African languages, Swedish, Syrian, Thai, Turkish, Turkmen, Ukrainian, Uzbek, or Vietnamese. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS - Qualification in library/archive domain - Higher education degree - Experience with cataloguing and/or data entry - Experience handling antiquarian and fragile materials - Working knowledge of 2 or more of the listed languages BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS Lump sum all inclusive (fees, accommodation) which is not tax free amounting to CHF4’000 per month. IBE will provide an office space, email address and a PC. The junior consultant has to provide a proof of the health insurance coverage valid in Switzerland before starting the contract with IBE.
