UNE to SPA Access Project Management Overview

The purpose of this overview is to familiarize customers with Access Project Management’s role and the process flow to convert circuits from Unbundled Network Elements (UNE) to Special Access (SPA) during “no physical work required” conversions.

•Customer provides circuit conversion list to BellSouth CLEC Care Local Support Network Sales Engineer

•CLEC Care provides circuit conversion list to Project Management

•Circuit conversion list must remain unchanged throughout the project (no additions)

• Issues (1) disconnect and (1) add order per circuit

• ICS Mechanization• Monitors for order design• If designed, the program deletes work steps

to ensure circuit is not taken down by a field technician

• Creates a records only work step to update the Central Office (CO) design records

•Updates customer and team with the orders and due dates (Customer will not receive a FOC when using PTOPS. The project spreadsheet will act as the FOC.)

• Completes the disconnect order on DD + 1
