SUE RYDERSue Ryder provide specialist palliative care services, aiming to help people live as comfortably as possible with the effects of their illness. Their team of health care professionals offer care, symptom management and support.

As well as consultant-led medical and specialist nursing care. They include various other services physiotherapy, occupational therapy, family support, complementary therapy, bereavement support as well as spiritual and psychological support for patients and their families.

They support people who want to live at home with their illness. They offer day therapy services and outpatient clinics and, where necessary, arrange home visits. They work together with our patients and families so we can provide care that the patient wants.

SHELTERTHE HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS CHARITY

Shelter is a charity that works to ease the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing.

They do this by giving advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and by campaigning for lasting political change to end the housing crisis for good.

Shelter believes everyone should have a home. Their work won’t stop until there’s a home for everyone.

Shelter’s goal is to help more people than ever in housing need. They will do this by• supporting more families• increasing the capacity of our website and helpline• creating new integrated advice and support hubs in areas where

there is the most need• putting our housing crisis back on the national agenda• investing in Shelter’s people and infrastructure• focusing on our outcomes.

PEEK PROJECT

PEEK works with children and young people aged 5-25 living in the east end of Glasgow – giving them the motivation, self-confidence and skills they need to change their lives.

In a typical week, they provide high quality, diverse & innovative arts, leisure and free play activities for over 300 children and 70 young people.

PEEK PROJECT

PEEK’s mission is to improve the quality of life for children and young people aged from 5 – 25 throughout the East Centre and Calton area of Glasgow. This is an area widely acknowledged as one of the most deprived communities in Scotland where over 30% of the population is income deprived (114% higher than the Scottish average).

ENRYCHSet up by Leonard Cheshire in 1986, ENRYCH supports adults with a physical disability to engage more fully within their local communities. They provide this service through their UK branches by "matching" our members' requirements to the skills and interests of volunteers and personal assistants.
