The National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering Aim

The Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering will provide a unique,

national, R&D and innovation resource, supporting the food sector by

delivering a collaborative programme of R&D and innovation,

enhancing skills and promoting new knowledge.

Developing the centre

Impact of the Centre Supporting innovation-led growth in key sectors;

•The national Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering is a resource for

the industry and is directly aligned with the Food and Drink Federation's

20/20 Vision strategy.

The centre will also:

Enhancing the economic anchor role of universities and colleges

within their localities;

•Sheffield Hallam will be working closely with Sheffield City Region

partners.

Stimulating employability, entrepreneurship and work-readiness

•An integral part of the employability strategy at Sheffield Hallam, and

will be further enhanced by the employer led curriculum development

group.
