• UW-Madison had the dairy futures website~Initially developed in the 1990’s

• RMA grant to promote the “new” dairy futures and options contracts

~Data and graphics were in spreadsheets~Some updating was automated, some

wasn’t~Data requirements had outgrown the

system

What the Projects Entailed• A total “makeover” of the website

~Data moved into relational database files~File updates were totally automated~Enhanced graphing capabilities were

added~On-line learning modules are available and

being added to~Industry related publications are on-line~Various analysis tools are on-line

LGM InsuranceLGM-Dairy Premium CalculatorA spreadsheet model that can be used for "what-if" analyses on premium levels for alternative LGM program participation using historical data.  From Aug. 2008 - Present, actual RMA simulated data used in premium calculations are available. Prior to Aug. 2008, simulated data is used for premium calculation.
