Most of the time, a bookkeeper will work under or be supervised by a head accountant or the small business owner. Along with all of the advances in this field, bookkeeping has become a job that is known to have quite a bit of mobility today. A lot of people who work the bookkeeper role will work for more than one company on a floating basis. Some will even work seasonal jobs during tax preparation season or take on tasks to help companies organize all of their financial information.
