is a fresh new weekend event of music & family arts in the heart of South Yorkshire. It is a collab-oration between acclaimed Yorkshire folk singer-songwriter Kate Rusby, her family production team and Cannon Hall Open Farm.

It attracts around 3000 visitors per day over three days and takes place in July each year at Cannon Hall Farm, South Yorkshire.

According to our own audience exit sur-vey 96% of people awarded us the top sat-isfaction rating of “Bloomin Marvellous” and we are incredibly proud to announce UTS festival has recently been nominated by the AIF (Association of Independent Festivals) for the award of 2015 “New Fes-tival on the Block”.

Cannon Hall Open Farm is the perfect set-ting for a music festival. The farm is one of the best family visitors attractions in York-shire and has won numerous awards for its high quality food produce and visitor facil-ities.

The festival site is nice and compact, mak-ing it ideal for families to get amongst the action whilst never being too far from their base of operations, be it a tent, motor-home, caravan or luxury Glamping spot.

In addition to two towering big-top music venues, (mainstage is a fully seated, 2000 capacity which has an “attentive - concert hall” ambience, stage two is a 1200 ca-pacity standing venue for a more boister-ous atmosphere) the festival site features lively street-arts performers, workshop ac-tivities, a Planetarium and science zone, handmade crafts and vintage stalls as well as boutique street food vendors and bar areas.

The programme is carefully curated by the festival team to showcase household names as well as the next rising stars from a wide variety of music genres (with a bias towards acoustic performers) includ-ing Blues, Folk, World, Rock, Swing, Jazz, Bluegrass & Singer-songwriters.

We are extremely proud to have already garnered a reputation for the high quality of the performers we present at UTS festi-val. Highlights from the past two year’s line-ups include - US songwriting legend Mary Chapin Carpenter, top English sing-er-songwriter Richard Thompson, Kate Rusby, Philip Selway (RADIOHEAD), Adrian Edmondson, Scots chanteuse Eddi Reader (FAIRGROUND ATTRACTION), USA’s up and coming Bluegrass star Sarah Jarosz, local Leeds favourites Hope & Social, BBC RADIO 2’s Mark Radcliffe, Molotov Juke-box (featuring NATALIA TENA - Game of Thrones, Harry Potter) to name but a few.

According to an independant Oxford Eco-nomics study for Visit Britain, live music events generate £2.2bn for the UK econo-my. These events attract 6.5million people, boost local economies and support 24,000 jobs a year. We are inviting businesses to be a part of this booming industry by part-nering with Underneath the Stars Festival.

In 2015 the age breakdown of our audience was as follows:

35% of our audience are local (within 30 miles), 65% are non-local (from over 30 miles away) and 27% came from more than 120 miles away - emphasising how highly our event is already regarded within the UK festival going audience.

Out of the total number of festival attend-ees, 55% camped for the weekend with a further 18% staying at local B&B’s and ho-tels, allowing for prolonged on site expo-sure and increased trade opportunities for local businesses.

In only two years, we are incredibly proud of our 10,000 Facebook followers and it is our most responsive social media channel.

Our website sees on average 8000 visits per month with 4500 of these directly accessing our e-programme in the month of the festi-val.

Our festival patron Kate Rusby also uses her digital channels of communication (28,000 FB likes and 13,000 Twitter followers) which in turn brings her faithful followers to the festival.

The UTS festival email database totals over 17,000 people to whom we send monthly e-newsletters.

Our PR and Marketing team generate ex-posure through local and national press in-cluding editorial, photo opportunities and advertising.

In 2015 we printed and distributed many thousands of postcards, flyers, posters and giant banners, one of which was perma-nently installed at Cannon Hall Open Farm to capitalise on the tens of thousands of vis-itors they receive annually.
