    TTU Seville Mixed-Use Center

With more than 2000 years of history, Seville has always been an important city. Not just as the one of the most critical cities in the Iberian Peninsula, but also as a part of the Old Continent. Seville still contains a large, well-

preserved Historical Center with relevant inuences from the Arabic, Roman and Medieval culture. Not only was it the capital of Andalusia, it was also the center of the Trade Monopoly to the Americas, and home for the King Philip V.

It is considered a city full of culture: food, traditions, art, architecture and music. Through an intense analysis of Spanish Culture, this Design Project consist in designing a new TTU Seville Mixed Use Center, with ofces,

classrooms, a lecture hall (multi-purpose), computer center, lounge area, restrooms, library, and outdoor public space, along with mixed use complementary uses dened through intense research.

This project takes place in what could be called the edge of Denvers Lower Downtown.LoDo is the affectionate name that Denverites call the Lower Downtown Historic District and mixed-use

neighborhood. LoDo, the city's birthplace, is the most exciting, fun, and hip part of the city of Denver. LoDo, Denver is the lower downtown area of Denver, Colorado, the oldest and original settlement of the

city of Denver. It is a mixed-use historic district, known for its nightlife, and serves as an example of success in urban reinvestment and revitalization.

The current population is 21,145.This proposed project aims to become an addition to Denvers unique historical, cultural, and retail neigh-

There are three types of blood cells: red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. These microscopic cells are responsible for transporting oxygen throughout the body, ghting infection and working to stop bleeding.Platelets are cell fragments that help stop blood leaking from injured blood vessels. If a blood vessel is damaged, platelets gather at the wound and stick to each other to form a plug.

Function as enclosure, user + space integrated as one. A system that creates a dialogue of spaces and forms based on connection rules. ORDER WITHIN CAOS

    Destination Spectacle

The intent of this studio was to rene and have a better understanding and a better position in Architec-ture. There were works and assignments that helped to resolve the complexity of building in a holistic

manner oftheoretical, material and spatial understanding.

The site for this project takes place in White Sands, NM. White Sands is a National Monument located about 25 km (16 mi) southwest of Alamogordo in the state of New Mexico. The area is in the mountain-

ringed Tularosa Basin valley area and comprises the southern part of a 710-km (275-mi) eld of white sand dunes composed of gypsum crystals.

  • The description for this project consist of being able to design a performance space [black box theater type] in the middle of one of the most iconic places of the American south west. The design concept

was to be able to experience an spectacle [admire the natural beauty of the sand dunes of the site, how they change colors and merge with the sky creating a completely different atmosphere] before arriving to

the actual nal spectacle destination [your seat before the show]In order to do this, a series of theoretical structural and volumetric study models where developed and

taken into the site. By doing these a decision was taken to go with a bridge like structure that would serve the purpose of showcasing the surroundings allowing the user to have a 360 view of the sand

    dunes.

    Performance Space

Situated in one of the most diverse and active areas of Lubbock, Texas, this project consisted in designing a performance space to enhance the already active area of the city where the site is located. This site becomes very versatile because of its duality, being very active during the night hours and weekends because of the amount of bars and restaurants around the site, but becoming very quiet and inactive during the morning and day hours. The idea and concept was to design a space that would bring activity to the area and the site during the day and enhance the activity during the night by having a new performance center. The concept is based on continuity of a path that moves changes direction and orientation. Bending and moving around creates dierent spaces and voids that allows the view through the path. the ability to have multiple points of view, `perspectives through the same space creates the feeling of curiosity and gives you the ability of looking to one specic thing but having more than one perspective to do so. one path . multiple spaces. multiple views. one building, that gives a activity equilibrium to the site.

    poetic potential of computers

Digital media is transforming the practice and teaching of design, offering new ways to see, think, study and understand architecture. This workshop explores how digital media and physical material are used interchangeably as instruments in

a design environment. The computer is introduced as a tool that enables the study of modeling, space, light, shade, shadow, color, transparency, translucency, reectivity, and texture.
