PULSE is a one of a kind vintage car dealership. Selling such standard classics such as 69 corvettes, mustangs, chargers, and challengers. These cars have become timeless icons in our culture, this is something that architecture strives to be as well. this idea of timelessness is translated into a building that is well-constructed and will withstand the test of time. the secondary idea to the building is an idea of seduction and attraction. people are attracted to color and light. this building strives to be a loud radiating beacon on its humble highway. 7

1. contours_eight unique contours are drawn to allude to the constantly changing nature of the journey one will experience along the rail. these contours stand as threshold into the space.

2. allignment_contours are situated in a shape that lends itself to smoothe movement from one space to another and lands the individual outside ready to hop aboard the train.

3. loft_the contours are then lofted into seven unique segments. each segment represents a different program space and a different experience along the rail.

4. triangulation_the loft yields tourqued shapes that are difficult to build. so the shapes are broken down into a mesh of triangles making it a buildable and dynamic form.

5. subtraction_the triangulated mesh is then brought to life by assuming sheet-metal materiality. some triangles are discarded to let light into strategic parts of the structure.

6. floors_finally, to inhabit the space, first and second floor plates are added to finish the building process.

experiential energyLOCOLOCOmotion does not aim to blend into it’s immediate context. it uses the context of the train, rather than the existing train station. LOCOmotion is a train station that speaks not of it’s place, but it’s places. context is a peculiar thing when you think of a moving object. the linear programming was inspired by the linear travel of a train. the idea is that you have to pass each place sequentially, just like a train. the form was inspired by the changing environment that the train experiences.
