Although more than 50 years has passed since Fiddler on the Roof first hit Broadway, the themes of love, life, and tradition still hold as true today as they did back in 1964. The tenuous balance between the way life used to be as opposed to the way life is today is a fine

line we all straddle as we navigate our way through life, raise our children, provide for our families, and face everyday challenges. I cannot thank the cast and crew enough for all their dedication, time, and endless efforts for all that they have put into this production. I hope you enjoy the performance as much as I have enjoyed overseeing this superlative group of artists for presenting what you are about to see. L’Chaim!

Scott Hancock, Artistic Director

Our Summer 2017 Production of Fiddler on the Roof marks our 26th Season. Since our inception in 1991 CenterStage has demonstrated a commitment to the community producing at least one show every summer for the community to enjoy. It is my pleasure to officially announce that

plans are in the works to present more shows throughout the year starting with our Winter 2017 production of “Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings”. We are also working hard to plan and provide a series of summer workshops to allow youth in the valley to learn and explore the joy of theatre. To learn more about CenterStage Clovis Community Theatre and how you can be a part of theatre magic, visit our website, www.centerstageclovis.com.

Enjoy the show!

To the cast, crew, and production staff who have all volunteered countless hours to bring you an amazing show…Mazel Tov! SCOTT HANCOCK (Director) Scott is beyond excited to return to the director’s chair for this summer’s Fiddler on the Roof. He just wrapped up conducting Heathers: The Musical at CSU Fresno, where he frequently serves as musical director and conductor. Interestingly, Scott’s first encounter with CenterStage was in the summer of 1997, when he played a Russian in (you guessed it,) Fiddler on the Roof! Scott holds his bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from CSU, Fresno, where he has previously conducted Assassins, Into the Woods, and Godspell to name just a few. He has directed for the Cutting Edge Theatre Project, CMT, GCP and Townsend Opera Players. A Bay Area native, Scott has called the Central Valley home for more than 40 years. He expresses his deepest thanks and love to Jason and the four fur babies for holding down the fort this summer. L’Chaim! JESSICA MASSIE (Choreographer) Jessica has performed with CenterStage, most recently in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Fiddler marks her CenterStage debut as choreographer. Jessica recently graduated from CSU Fresno earning her degree in Communication. Bulldog fans may have seen her as a featured twirler with the Bulldog Marching Band. JUDITH DICKISON (Vocal Director) Judith has vocal coached productions for CenterStage for the last seven seasons; including Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, Hello Dolly!, Big River, The Music Man and Joseph and the Amazing Technical Dreamcoat. She is a graduate of the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, and had a career as a leading operatic soprano with such companies as New York City Opera at Lincoln Center, San Francisco Opera’s Western Opera Theater, Minnesota Opera, Kansas City Lyric Opera and numerous others. She has an active, private voice studio and is an equestrian who loves riding Dressage on her beautiful Dutch Warmblood gelding, Caro.
