• 20011/12 East Sussex figures for overweight and obese Reception year children was 21.6%.
• 20011/12 England figures for overweight and obese Reception year children was 22.6%.
• The East Sussex figure has increased from the 2009/10 rate of 20.8% whilst the figure for England has fallen from 23.1% .

• In Year 6 for 2011/12, 30.7% of pupils in East Sussex and 33.9% of pupils in England were classed as overweight or obese.
• This rate has decreased in East Sussex by 0.8% since 2010/11 whilst the rate for England has increased by 0.5%.
