Industry Challenges Fraccing Operation Risks Artificial Lift/Deliquification Performance Well Design & Casing Integrity Completion System Optimization Cement Integrity Highlight: Fraccing Operation Risks Erosion damage to wellhead components and downhole assemblies can occur in high fluid rate environments containing hard and abrasive solids, such as those in high rate, multi-stage fracturing operations and flow-back. These conditions could result in a significant well loss or blowout hazard. Assessing and mitigating erosion becomes critical in these cases, impacting safety, the environment and cost. Prediction of the location and the degree of potential damage and material loss is required to aid in the design and optimization of completion/fraccing systems and processes.
