120 DAYS OFIMMEDIATE ACTION

1. Every child going on to secondary school rom theSEA will be provided with a laptop to begin theirsecondary school education.

2. We will begin addressing the issue o securing andexpanding GATE.

3. We will rescind the property tax.

4. We will establish a working committee to reviewall programmes targeted at poverty alleviation andsocial support to make recommendations to:a. Strengthen synergy, reach and impact

through rationalisation and integrationb. Help households to step up to prosperity and

to reduce the number o people classifed aspoor by 2% each year.

5. We will begin an aggressive programme to fx

all leaks in WASAs pipelines, and establish anemergency response unit or monitoring systemdysunction, unplanned disruptions and crisismanagement.

6. We will coordinate integrated action on waterresources management, drainage, irrigation,ooding, water capture, conservation, sustainableood production and ood security throughsynergistic deployment o human resources andequipment under state control in collaborationwith private contractors.

7. In partnership with CBOs and NGOs ourgovernment will release appropriate resourcesrom the Green Fund to reorest areas that wereburnt during the past dry season.

8. We will simultaneously begin the rehabilitationand paving o existing access roads andconstruction o new ones.

9. We will begin the process o establishing a Ministryo the People.
