COVID Modifications - Please practice and prepare accordingly!

Obedience Specific - per AKC

• Figure 8 - Rather than use stewards for the Figure 8 exercise, the club will use upright posts, tall pylons, or chairs as posts. The same object will be used for both posts and all exhibitors.

• Examinations – Social distancing requirements will be met during examination

exercises. • Judges may wear gloves or use hand sanitizer between examination exercises. If a judge chooses to use gloves, a new pair of gloves will be used for each dog. For the Utility Moving Stand for Examination, the judge should approach the dog at a slight angle to ensure distancing requirements from handler to judge are maintained.

• Novice Group Exercise – The distance requirement will be modified to 8 feet between

dogs and rows to ensure social distancing guidelines are met.

. • Directed Retrieve Exercise - A paper towel or grabber will be provided for the Steward to pick up the gloves. If a grabber is used it will be wiped down between exhibitors.

• Scent Discrimination Exercise – The steward responsible for placing the articles may

wear gloves or use hand sanitizer. A grabber, when used, will be wiped down between dogs. A paper towel may also be used.
