this 12,000 sq. ft. building will contain offices and classrooms. It will also have a cafe and a gymnasium. In addition,

because of the indoor gym, the school will be able to host home games and tournaments.

”I’m most excited about having our own home games,” commented Caleb Henington (8). State Basketball By: Max Parker

On Monday, February 22, all the students lined up to cheer the varsity teams who were being escorted out of town by the Pryor Police for their state basketball playoffs in McAlester. The girls played against Lakewood Christian. The boys played against Claremore Christian.

“I learned that you should never hold back and have no regrets, just send it,” stated Solomon Sawyer (8), Sadly, both teams lost and were sent home because it was a single-elimination tournament.

New Sports By: Gabby Robinson and Kaitlin Rouell

For the first time Bradford has joined a co-op program with the Claremore Christian baseball team. Four students from Bradford now play baseball with Claremore Christian School: Caleb Henington (8), Tex Passmore (8), Ian Cummings (8), and Jess Stipes (10) . Since they are playing with Claremore Christian School they practice in Claremore four days during the school week, along with other members of the team. Two ways that baseball benefits a player are “it teaches the player both teamwork and communication skills,” replied Ian Cummings (8).

The athletics director, Coach Walker, formed a 7th-12th grade soccer team. The co-ed players are: Mary Lee (#54), Lauren Rouell (#29), and Jayden Pineda (#20) in seventh grade; Max Parker (#33), Ally Parker (#8), Isabella Williams (#17), and Kaitlin Rouell (#11) in eighth grade; Andrew Calico (#5), Ian Crehan (#2), Pacie Parker (#14), Lani Phillips (#1), and Megan Rogers (#21) in tenth grade; Nancy Grybowski (#0) and Aubrianne Gantz (#15) in eleventh grade. In the first scrimmage, the Bradford players were up against Tahlequah, ending with a score of 0-0. “ Soccer is a sport that is beneficial because of the lessons it teaches you in the long run. This includes discipline, dignity, teamwork, perseverance, and decision making.” Kaitlin Rouell explained.
