Financial Model Audit of 341 MW Summit Bibiyana Combined Cycle Power Project – Bangladesh: The sponsors of the project approached IFC, ADB and IDB for debt swap of subject project. IFC on behalf of ADB and IDB prepared the financial model and appointed Grant Thornton for audit of same to verify the model. As project manager and senior financial analyst, I carried out the audit of financial model and provided recommendations for bringing in improvements from lenders perspective. Financial Advisory Services for 100 MW Solar Power Project – Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Private Limited – Government of Punjab: As senior financial analyst and project team lead, developed the Financial Model for the establishment of a 100 MW Solar Power Plant in Bahawalpur. Moreover, I was extensively involved in the drafting and finalization of financing agreements and security package and prepared the project capital and operational budget. The project involved financial and accounting due diligence of the target company and development of valuation model to provide estimated market value of the target company (Premier Oil) for acquisition by Akbar Associates Group. Valuation of Buksh Energy 10 MW Solar Power Plant for Acquisition by Hanergy Global of Hong Kong: As project manager, under buy side advisory mandate carried out valuation using Asset Based Value Method to ascertain the NPV of Buksh Energy for acquisition by Hanergy Global of Hong Kong.

Valuation of ATL Share in 720 MW Hydro Power Project: As senior financial analyst, under sell side advisory

mandate carried out valuation using DCF Method to ascertain the disposal value for ATL. International Donor Funded Engagements Pre Audit of Grantees – USAID Citizens’ Voice Project: The project involved limited scope pre audit of grantees of

USAID to inform the donor about the internal controls and absorptive capacity of the grantee. I was on site supervisor for the pre audits of 15 grantees.

Indirect Cost Audit of US Based INGO for Establishment of Uniform NICRA for USAID: The project involved detailed audit of indirect costs charged by 8 US Based INGOs to USAID to ascertain the true cost of doing business in Pakistan and for establishment of uniform NICRA based on the audit results and analysis of data collected.

Institutional Assessment of Department of Auditor General of Pakistan for USAID Funding: I was part of the team which carried out the Pre-award financing assessment of Department of Auditor General of Pakistan in order to evaluate the accountability environment within the Department of Auditor General of Pakistan (DAGP). The assessment involved the overall review of the DAGP’s Institutional and Management Structure, Review of Financial Management, Accounting, HR and Procurement Systems and Controls, and carrying out the Operational and Absorptive Capacity Analysis.

Study on Public Financial Management in Pakistan: The objective of study was to design Framework to assess the institutional capacity of the GoP at different levels through development of a Public Financial Management Assessment Framework. My role was as project coordinator and specialist for Accounting, Internal Controls and was part of the team who designed the main skeleton of the framework.
