Dear Mehr Singh,I was very sad to hear about the killing of several innocent people atJallianwala Bagh by General Dyer and his men. It is cruel to kill people whoare peacefully protesting against an unfair law.In Bombay, many people have come out on the streets to show their angeragainst these killings. Yesterday, I went to a public meeting in whichGandhiji asked people to wear khadi clothes and boycott schools, officesand the courts. Then, we burnt foreign clothes and other foreign goods.I hope this will force the British to stop cruelty towards the Indians.Your friend,Raju Apte
