INSTALLATION

ALL MODELS

2.1 INSPECTION and UNCRATING: a) Upon receipt, a thorough inspection for transportation damage should be made. Any damage should be documented and a claim made with the freight carrier. Victory Refrigeration is not responsible for damage in transit. Packaging material must be retained until damage claim is settled.

b) Carefully remove all crating material above the pallet. Unbolt the unit from the pallet.

2.2 INSTALLATION OF ACCESSORIES: a) Check all packages for accessories or optional components, including legs, caster, shelves or pan slides.

b) Legs & Casters: Each cabinet is provided with four threaded legs or casters shipped separately (in some models only). Legs and casters may screw directly into the weld nut provided in each corner of the base or flange mounted casters are bolted directly to the base. Please note casters and leg are not included in all models and are optional.

c) Install shelf clips, see shelf clip illustration. Pilasters can be removed for cleaning (not in all models).

d) Install rear bumpers, see rear bumper installation instructions.

CAUTION: If the unit is laid down for any reason a waiting period of 24 hours is required before starting the unit for oil migration. Failure to follow instructions in this manual will affect performance of the unit and may void limited warranty.

2.3 UNIT PLACEMENT:

a) Seal any floor mounted cabinet to the floor using a sufficient bead of silicone sealant to insure a thorough seal between the cabinet base and the floor. The sealant used must meet any sanitation codes that may apply.

b) To assure maximum performance a minimum of 2 inches of clearance is required at the rear of unit. Adequate ventilation is required. Under extreme heat conditions an additional exhaust fan may be required. Do not place anything in front of the unit that may block air from entering the grills.

c) Unit must be leveled to assure proper drainage and efficient functioning of the unit. Level the unit front to back and side to side

2.4 ELECTRICAL SUPPLY:

a) When installing any model comply with all local electrical codes. The unit must be plugged into a dedicated 115V, 60HZ circuit. Sharing the circuit with any other device may result in a low voltage situation which can cause damage to the unit. Failure to supply a dedicated circuit will void factory limited warranty. Before preforming service on the cooler, disconnect from power supply. b) 208/230V Field Wired Unit: Cabinet must be connected to a 208/230V/60Hz grounded supply. Prior to connecting power, ensure voltage between any supply conductor and neutral is 115V. Failure to properly wire unit will void all warranties and may result in property damage

CAUTION: Do not use extension cord. Use of extension cord will void limited warranty.

c) 208/230V Field Wired Unit: Cabinet must be connected to a 208/230V/60Hz grounded supply. Prior to connecting power, ensure voltage between any supply conductor and neutral is 115V. Failure to properly wire unit will void all warranties and may result in property damage.

CAUTION: Do not use extension cord. Use of extension cord will void limited warranty.

13

3.2 CONDENSATE DRAINAGE

a. The stainless steel pan below the evaporator receives and discharges the condensate to the condenser condensate pan located to the right in the condensing unit compartment behind the grille. Air flows over the pan, which has coated hot gas tubing to facilitate condensate evaporation. This eliminates the need for an external drain.

4.1 PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

a. Cleaning the condenser coil; the condenser coil located behind the front grill should be inspected once a month and cleaned if necessary. Vacuum clean all surfaces of the condenser. Make sure no fins are bent in the process. If there are bent fins carefully straighten to insure air can move through the coils. Failure to keep the condenser coil clean will lead to compressor failure. Failure to keep the condenser coil clean may void limited warranty. b. Gaskets; Cleaning the gaskets; visually inspect the gaskets for a tight seal on all four sides. Visually inspect the gaskets for damage of any kind, rips, tears, stiffness or cracks. If any such conditions exist the magnet will not seal and the gasket will need to be replaced. To clean the gasket use mild dish soap and warm water. Thoroughly rinse and dry the gasket. Do not clean with any product containing bleach or ammonia.
