FUN •  ADULT COLORING BOOKS – not as risqué as it sounds.

Coloring is no longer just for kids. And don’t forget twistable crayons or markers.

•  MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS – It’s the gift that keeps giving. There are magazines for all kinds of interests: puzzles, quilting, fishing, or inspirational stories to name a few.

•  TRAVEL – Many seniors are involved in travel clubs that take large or small trips. How about a contribution to a trip?

EXPERIENCE As we mature, we tend to get less attached to STUFF and more to EXPERIENCES. How about giving movie, theater, or concert tickets? (don’t forget cab fare!) Or a gift certificate for their favorite restaurant? All the better if you can enjoy the experience with them. Especially for seniors who have limited contact with the outside world this can be a wonderful gift. Some of us are bound by distance and can’t be there in person. If this is you, fret not. Pick up the phone and enjoy a long conversation. If you run out of things to talk about, ask them to share stories about their life experiences.
