Poem of Life Life is but a stopping place, A pause
in what's to be, A resting place along the road, to
sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Differ-
ent paths along the way. We all were meant to learn
some things, but never meant to stay... Our destina-
tion is a place, Far greater than we know. For some
the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great
reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with
the Lord. Dear Lord:
Welcome Claudia into paradise. In your love, lead her into the unending joys of your
presence where every tear will be wiped away, and there will be no more sorrow. Amen

Immaculate Conception School— Formosa
On Sunday February 21st, the senior boys basketball team competed in
a tournament at Holy Family School. With only 6 players, the boys
played with excellent stamina and great sportsmanship. ICS brought
back 2 more trophies for our trophy table. Nick Bohnert earned a sec-
ond place in the spider competition. Blake Wideman placed 1st in the
free throw competition and the boys were the fastest team to com-
plete the dribbling relay race. They had 2 wins and 1 loss and were tied
for the championship. Outscoring their opponents by a large margin
helped them to win the tie breaker. Congratulations Boys! M. Dupuis is
proud of you! Thank you M. Dupuis for coaching the boys and giving up
a Sunday to be with them. Team members included: Blake Wideman,
Josh Bezeau, Baxter Legace, Xavier Legace, Nick Bohnert and Landon
Wideman.

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board is hosting a very special fundraising event this year.
Mercy that welcomes – An evening with Bishop Crosby to support Syrian Refugees in Bruce Grey is
scheduled for Tuesday April 19 at the Walkerton Knights of Columbus Hall. This event is unlike any
we have planned in the past. The program will include a full course dinner, silent auction, raffles,
student art displays and performances, and guest speakers who will share their stories related to
refugees and their experiences in our local area. All funds raised will be distributed to the various
local groups who are sponsoring refugee families in Bruce and Grey. We require the support of everyone in our school
communities to make this event a success. We are seeking items for our silent auction. Our parent council has donated
$100.00 towards a gift for the silent auction and Mr. Tomlinson has donated a water colour piece of framed art that he
has painted himself. We require the added support of our friends in the business community. If you are able to donate a
gift certificate or merchandise from your business please contact the school. Your business will be recognized for their
contribution throughout the auction and during the event. If you would like to purchase a ticket for the dinner, please
contact the school. Dinner tickets are $35.00 each.($10.00 receipt for each ticket)
“Let our light shine before others, that they see our good work” (Mt 5:16)

Walkerton Foodland for donating the food. Thank you to the individuals
who donated back their winnings and the 50/50 money. Thank you to the
teams and local businesses for donating prizes to the raffle table. Thank you

Mrs. Schefter and Brady are busy looking after our
recycling. Brady spends time at ICS 2 times per week
for 2 hours at a time helping Mrs. Schefter with daily
clean up. Thank you Brady and Mrs. Schefter for all
your hard work!
As a means of ensuring the safety of all children at our school, staff are strictly enforcing the “hands-off policy” which is part of our school and Board Code of Conduct / Safe Schools. At times, you may receive a note in your child’s agenda informing you that they were involved in rough play, what the rough play was, the conse-quence received and the number of times this has occurred. This is also being closely tracked in the office to ensure we are aware of students who are involved in rough play regularly. Please know that if your child con-tinues to be involved in rough play that results in harming another child (where we have concerns for the safe-
ty and well-being of other children), unfortunately the consequences can result in suspension. It is important for all parents to understand that to respect the privacy and dignity of all students / families, we do not discuss the consequences of other chil-dren. The principal will only discuss things pertaining to your child(ren). Let’s work together to ensure that our children can play safely with their peers and enjoy recess.
