Andrew Altman Chief Executive, Olympic Park Legacy Company, London, UK

Altman commenced his role as Chief Executive of the Olympic ParkLegacy Company in August 2009. Over the next 25 years the Companywill plan, develop and manage the Olympic Park in East London to become, in time, a new and prosperous area of London - a lastinglegacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Altman’s previous appointment was as Philadelphia's first DeputyMayor for Planning and Economic Development and Director of Commerce – tasked with bringing together all the planning and economic development functions of the city. Prior to this role Altmanwas the President of Altman Development LLC in New York City. His company worked on behalf of Lubert Adler Management to leadlarge-scale, urban development projects. Previously, he was the firstPresident and CEO of the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation in Washington, D.C., established to guide the revitalization of over 2800acres of urban waterfront. Altman also served in the cabinet at Washington, as head of the city’s planning agency where he led theAnacostia Waterfront Initiative from its inception. He moved there from California where he was the Director of City Planning and Manager of Comprehensive Planning for the City of Oakland, California, from 1995-1999.

Professor Andrew BaumProfessor of Land Management, Henley Business School University ofReading; Honorary Professor of Real Estate Investment, University ofCambridge; ULI Academic Fellow, Reading, UK

Baum is Professor of Land Management at the Henley BusinessSchool, University of Reading, and Honorary Professor of Real EstateInvestment at the University of Cambridge. He is also chairman of theinvestment committee for CBRE Investors Global Multi Manager business and has other business interests. He has spent the majorityof the last 20 years working with institutional real estate investors in developing global property investment strategies. His experience isprimarily in the UK but he has also worked in the US and Asia. He isauthor of Commercial Real Estate Investment (Elsevier, 2009) and several other real estate texts. He holds BSc, MPhil and PhD degrees

from the University of Reading. A graduate of the LBS investment management programme, he is a chartered surveyor and a qualifiedmember of the CFA institute (ASIP). He was elected a Fellow of theUrban Land Institute in 2002.

David CampChief Executive, Stanhope, London, UK

Camp joined Stanhope in 1987 and was appointed a Director in 1990,Managing Director in 1995 and Chief Executive in 2002. He has spenthis entire career in the property development industry, either acting onbehalf of clients, or as a principal in relation to commercial and mixeduse projects throughout the South East of England.

After a year at GL Hearn & Partners (primarily involved in planning advisory work for Sainsbury), Camp spent nine years at Donaldsons(five years as a Partner) and was responsible for commercial propertydevelopment, acquisition, investment and leasing in the South East ofEngland. Clients included Hammerson, MEPC, Capital and Counties,Commercial Union, Prudential, Speyhawk and Bridehall. Projectsranged from small single office buildings, through to major mixed useprojects of over 1 million sq. ft.

Camp’s activities at Stanhope have primarily been in relation to theidentification, acquisition and funding of new projects and latterly inleading the strategy of the company. He is currently a member of theSupervisory Board of the Schroder Exempt Property Unit Trust, a member of the City Property Association and involved in various British Property Federation working groups.

Greg ClarkSenior Fellow, ULI EMEA, London, UK

Clark is Senior Fellow, ULI EMEA and Lead Advisor on City and Regional Development at the Department for Communities and LocalGovernment, UK, Chairman of the OECD Forum of Development Agencies and Investment Strategies, and Professor at Cass BusinessSchool, City of London, and advisor to cities and companies world-wide. He has recently authored three major reports for ULI: London/New York in the 21st Century, Global Indices and Closing the Investment Gap in Europe’s Cities.

Nick CooperPrincipal, The Townsend Group, London, UK

Cooper recently joined Townsend as a Principal in its London office inMay 2010 having stepped down as the CEO of ING Real Estate Select aglobal real estate multi-manager business he developed over the last 10 years. He has advised institutional investors on both direct and indirect property investment for over 27 years.

At Townsend he is a member of its Global Investment Committee and isresponsible for further developing Townsend’s investment managementbusiness with particular focus on Europe and Asia. Today Townsend’scurrent assets under management across both discretionary and advisory business exceed $100bn. He continues to act as Fund Advisorfor ING Global Real Estate Securities Ltd a London listed investmentfund which invests globally in both listed and unlisted real estate investment opportunities. He is a previous Chairman of the Associationof Real Estate Funds in the UK, an established property industry groupopen to fund managers and others involved in the property industry.Cooper has a Bachelor of Science degree in Estate Management fromOxford Brookes University.

Peter DentonManaging Director, Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank AG, London, UK

Denton is a Managing Director and Head of London Branch at WestImmo. He is responsible for the management of the bank's coverage of UK based domestic and international investors and heads the banks"FreshStart" subordinated debt programme. Denton was previously aManaging Director at Barclays Capital and Eurohypo managing largeloan EMEA origination.

Jack FosterManaging Director - Head of Real Estate, Franklin Templeton Real EstateAdvisors, New York, USA

Foster is head of Real Estate for Franklin Templeton Investments. Hehas been investing globally in real estate stocks and private real estatefunds for over 21 years on behalf of institutional clients. His real estatecareer began over 25 years ago as a home developer, with his father, inMaryland and Virginia. He has a BA from Columbia University.

Frank GardnerSecurity Correspondent, BBC, London, UK

Gardner OBE is the BBC’s fulltime security correspondent reporting for TV and radio on issues of both domestic and international security, notably on Al Qaeda related terrorism.

He was awarded an OBE in June 2005 for services to journalism and released his first book ‘Blood and Sand’ in May 2006 which reachednumber three in the Sunday Times Bestseller List.

A fluent Arabist with a degree in Arabic and Islamic studies from ExeterUniversity; Gardner spent nine years as an investment banker in NewYork, London and Bahrain before switching to journalism and becomingthe BBC’s Middle East correspondent based in Cairo. He has reported extensively on the so-called ‘War on Terror’ in Guantanamo Bay, Yemen,Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East. In 2004 he survivedbeing shot six times at close range by Al Qaeda terrorists in the Riyadhsuburb, Saudi Arabia. After many months in hospital he returned to theBBC to resume his job.

Andrew GouldChief Executive, English Business, Jones Lang LaSalle, London, UK

Gould is the Chief Executive of the Jones Lang LaSalle business in England. He is one of the leading authorities on urban development, financing and marketing strategies. He has advised major investors and developers on development and marketing of major developmentschemes in the UK and overseas. He has advised and helped delivermajor urban redevelopment strategies such as Greenwich Peninsula inLondon; The Bridge, Dartford; Stratford City; five of the seven MillenniumCommunities. He was the principal commercial and property advisor tothe Government on the successful Millennium Dome sale. He has ad-vised on the establishment of a number of innovative investment vehiclesincluding English Cities Fund and the First Time Buyer Initiative.

Gould is currently advising BBC on a 15 m sq ft regeneration programmein West London around Television Centre (“Creative London”); Manchester City Council on regeneration in East Manchester; and theOlympic Park Legacy Company. He was awarded a doctorate at Cambridge University for his work on foreign direct investment'.

Ian HawksworthManaging Director, Capital & Counties, London, UK

Hawksworth is the Managing Director of Capital & Counties and an Executive Director of Liberty International PLC. Liberty International is a leading FTSE-100 ranking UK listed REIT with property investments of over £8.6 billion. Through its two principal subsidiaries, Capital &Counties and Capital Shopping Centres, the group focuses on premierproperty assets, which have scarcity value and require active management and creativity. Previously Hawksworth worked in Asia based in Hong Kong for 14 years and was an Executive Director of Hongkong Land, responsible for Commercial Property and Development.

Hawksworth has a BSc in Estate Management and is a Member of theRoyal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is also a Trustee of theUrban Land Institute, Treasurer of AFIRE, part of the Harvard Real Estate Academic Initiative and a Member of the British Property Federation Policy Committee.

David HodesFounder & Managing Partner, Hodes Weill & Associates, New York, USA

Hodes is a founder and Managing Partner of Hodes Weill & Associates(HW&A). HW&A is a New York-based, advisory and principal investment business providing advice and solutions for a wide range of challenges impacting a rapidly changing industry. The company leverages the principals' global network of investor and fund managerrelationships, and knowledge of the real estate private equity and private funds market.

From 2000 through 2009, Hodes was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse, based in New York, where he co-founded Credit Suisse’s RealEstate Private Fund Group (REPFG). In 2008, Mr. Hodes assumed responsibility for co-managing Credit Suisse’s Real Estate InvestmentsGroup (REIG). REIG had over 250 professionals and approximately $37billion of assets under management in a range of core, opportunistic and securities (long and hedged) funds and separate accounts. Previously, Hodes was a Principal at Morgan Stanley, and the Director of Private Real Estate Capital Markets.

Hrabowych is an alternative asset director at Alta Advisers Limited.Hrabowych has over 23 years of real asset experience: a founding Principal of the $632 million Doughty Hanson European opportunistic real estate fund business; principal and M&A activity with Citigroup inCanada and the US; and a Citigroup division head for emerging markets.Hrabowych holds an MBA (Schulich/York), an M.A.Sc. (Toronto), and aB.A.Sc. (Univ. of Manitoba).

Mike HusseyManaging Director, Almacantar, London, UK

Hussey is Joint Managing Director and will focus on all London projects.He is 44 years old and is recognised as one of the key players in the central London property market. He previously spent seven years at Land Securities plc, where he was an Executive Board Director with responsibility for the London portfolio (valued between £3.3bn and£9.4bn). Prior to that, he was Leasing and Marketing Director at the Canary Wharf Group where his team transacted 9.3m sq.ft.

Hussey secured a strong reputation in the market through some landmark transactions during his career including an astutely time development programme in London over the last cycle and execution ofsome significant sales at the top of the market. He is well regarded in theCity, ran a team of over 200 people at Land Securities and is currentlyPresident of the British Council for Offices.

Nick KeableAdvisor, Land Use Politics / Vice President, Saint Consulting, London UK

After eight years commissioned service in the British Army, Keable'sprofessional life began working on international development and economic and monetary affairs at the European Parliament in Brussels.Keable subsequently worked for a European public affairs consultancyand played a key role in establishing a pan-European lobby group forthe construction industry, similar to a UK Parliamentary all-party group.

Prior to joining The Saint Consulting Group, Keable worked for a leading UK land use lobbying firm. He rose to become Managing Director with responsibility for the entire UK office network, managingmultiple client projects. He developed a particular specialism in bothcomplex residential development and PFI projects.

Ralph Luck OBEDirector of Property, Olympic Delivery Authority, London, UK

Luck is Director of Property for the UK’s Olympic Delivery Authority.Previously he held several roles at English Partnerships (then the national regeneration agency), the last of which was as Director for London and the Thames Gateway, having been the Development Director for the 300-acre Greenwich Peninsula for 6 years. In thoseroles he negotiated the sale of the Millennium Dome and established the Joint Venture with Lend Lease and Quintain for the development ofGreenwich Peninsula. On joining English Partnerships in 1994 he wasRegional Director for London and the South East. He was also Chairmanof the British Urban Regeneration Association from 2004-7, having been a director for 14 years.

Prior to joining English Partnerships he was the Development Directorat Chatham Maritime which comprises the regeneration of 350 acres ofthe former Naval Dockyard at Chatham in Kent. Earlier in his career Luck was the Senior Development Surveyor with Taylor Woodrow and a Chief Officer at the London Borough Councils of Bexley, Harrow andWandsworth.

Luck is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and theChartered Management Institute. He was awarded the OBE for servicesto regeneration in the 2004 New Years Honours list.

Dame Judith Mayhew Jones OBEChairman, The New West End Company, London, UK

Mayhew Jonas took up her current role as Chairman of the New WestEnd Company in 2008 playing a key part in managing and promotingthe interests of the district, developing and driving forward the commercial opportunities for the world’s top shopping destination, London’s West End.

Born and educated in New Zealand, Mayhew Jonas graduated LLM fromthe University of Otago before moving to the UK as a lecturer in law atKing's College, University of London. In 1989 Mayhew Jonas becameSpecial Adviser to the Chairman at Clifford Chance. In 2006 she wasappointed to the Board of Merrill Lynch in New York.

She was elected to the City of London Corporation in 1986 becomingChairman of the Policy and Resources Committee in 1996, a positionshe held for six years. She currently chairs the London New York Dialogue. She was Deputy Chairman of the London DevelopmentAgency and chaired the business committee. She is currently a VicePresident of London First. She was appointed Dame Commander of theBritish Empire in the 2002 Queen's Birthday Honours list for services tothe City of London.

Joe MontgomeryDirector General, Regions and Communities, Department for Communities & Local Government, London, UK

Montgomery is a Director General for the Department for Communitiesand Local Government. He is responsible for some of the Government’slargest regeneration programmes such as The Thames Gateway, The European Regional Development Fund and developing East London’s legacy from the 2012 Olympics. He is also responsible forthe work of the 2000 staff in the Government’s Network of Regional Offices. He came into Whitehall in 2001 to lead The National Strategyfor Neighbourhood Renewal.

In earlier roles, Montgomery has served as Assistant Secretary to theCadbury Trust, as Chief Executive of Deptford City Challenge Ltd and as Leader of the Government’s Inner City Task Force in Deptford. As alocal government chief officer, he held responsibility for housing, transport, planning and economic development. He is an honoraryPresident of INTA, the International Urban Development Association and was a non Executive Director at the Department for Transport. He is currently a member of the disciplinary panel at The Royal Institute of British Architects.

Noel, aged 45, was educated at Marlborough College and Reading University. From 1992 to 2002, he was a Director of Nelson BakewellLtd, the property services group. He joined Great Portland Estates plcin June 2002 and was appointed to the Board in August 2002. He wasappointed to the Board of Land Securities Group PLC in January 2010and heads its London business.

Having joined ULI from the UK government in 2007, Notay establisheda new research department for ULI in Europe publishing reports for ULI members on topics including market trends, demographics, infrastructure, affordable housing and sustainable development. Notay also manages a broad range of ULI activities including EuropeanAdvisory Services, Product Councils, Awards programmes, YoungLeaders and the ULI Charitable Trust.

In 2009 Notay was appointed the youngest ever Vice President in ULI’s75 year history to direct a number of global strategic programmes.Notay leads the virtual team for an innovative web project promotingenergy efficient buildings, developing strategy, implementing new technology and securing partners including the Clinton Climate Initiative, Philips, Arup and Hines.
