Slumdog Millionaire (the film that made Danny Boyle famous) Hunger (1981 Irish hunger strike) Millions (probably Danny boyle's most underrated film) Bloody Sunday (Paul Greengrass before the Bourne films) Control (film about Ian Curtis, bloke out of Joy Division) Atonement (a lesson about shutting your mouth when you're not needed) Shaun Of The Dead (a rom-zom-com) Eastern Promises (David Cronenberg visits London) Sexy Beast ("I gotta change my shirt, it's sticking to me. I'm sweating like a c unt") A Clockwork Orange (one of Stanley Kubrick's finest) Dead Man's Shoes (Genius revenge flick. Think Taxi Driver based in the Midlands) Withnail and I (I?) Brazil (Terry Gilliam doing dystopian satire) 24 Hour Party People (Learn a bit about Madchester and Factory Records) The Constant Gardener (Corruption and more corruption) Elizabeth (Cate Blanchett does royalty) This Is England (Real England in the 1980s) The Last King of Scotland (Forest Whitaker does Idi Amin) Get Carter (Michael Caine doing the gangster ting) The Wicker Man ("Come. It is time to keep your appointment with the Wicker Man." ) The Italian Job ("You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off") A Cock and Bull Story ("You're fantastically attractive and your knowledge of Ge rman cinema is second to none.") Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (Guy Ritchie flick) Snatch (Lock, Stock 2) Layer Cake (Daniel Craig before he became Bond) United 93 (should have won Best Picture instead of The Departed) London To Brighton (deals with runaway youth and prostitution) Monty Python's Life of Brian ("He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy") Gregory's Girl (coming of age film) The Long Good Friday (one of the best British gangster flicks) Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (black come dy by Stanley Kubrick) In The Loop (a piss take of Anglo-American politics) Four Lions (a comedy about Islamist terrorists... yes, that's correct)
