WelcomIng neW studentsThe beginning of the fall semester is always a crucial time to meet up with returning students and incoming freshmen. We make sure to have amazing programming during our Welcome Week to make students feel welcome. We kick it off with a big barbecue at the Hillel house. We also give out delicious bagels at Tate Plaza. Our free scoop of ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s downtown is a fan favorite and is becoming an annual tradition. We always finish Welcome Week with a welcome back Shabbat and we fill the building to capacity, just the way we like it!

• High Holidays options include Conservative services at Hillel, Reform services at Congregation Children of Israel, multiple home-cooked meals and a delicious “break the fast” open to the entire community.

• During Sukkot, we go all out with a giant party in our sukkah on our front lawn along with great food and plenty off surprises.

• During Hanukkah we have Hanukkah parties, candle lightings, dreidle spinning and delicious latkes! • Hillel at UGA provides two Passover Seders and free kosher for Passover lunches and dinners every day.• We offer basic classes on Judaism with group and partner learning, a six week Hebrew reading

crash course, and Café Ivrit—a weekly conversational Hebrew speaking group.
