Global Exposure
International TrekInternational Treks gives the students an opportunity to explore theeconomic,politicalandculturalcontextsofbusinessindifferentregionsoftheworld.Thetrekisathemebased(Manufacturing,Entrepreneurship& Innovation, Cultural etc) expedition,where theymeet professionalsfromother countries, exchange ideaswithbusiness andgovernmentleadersfromotherpartsoftheworld.Thisexposesthemtopotentialcareerpathsandbroadenstheirunderstandingoftheindustries.
Forthebatchof2020-23,IILMwillofferthemebasedtreksindifferentcountries such as Israel, Estonia and Shenzhenduring their program.During this, the students will get an opportunity to visit partneruniversitiesintheMiddleEast,EasternEuropeorSouthEastAsiaasapartoftheprogram.Theorganizingteamidentifiesthethemethatintereststhe students and plans out these treks. The trek gives students anopportunity to test their leadershipskills,get in-depthunderstandingabout a particular industry or geography, which helps them buildcontacts for the future. This is a great networking opportunity forstudents.
Global Study ProgramKeeping pace with the globalizationenvironment,IILMofferstheGlobalStudyThe purpose of Global Study is to givestudents a global exposure of teachingpedagogy, industry, and diverse culturesenablingthemtoexpandtheirhorizonsanddevelopaninternationalperspective.Cohortof students gets an opportunity to visit apartner school in Europe or Asia, completecoursemodules,developskillsforworkingindiverse teams, and understand and acceptcultural diversity; hence this exposure
stands them in good stead towards theirprogressforprofessionalgoals.
BoththeInternationalTrek/Globalstudywillbeorganizedafterthecompletionofyear1.This will be done once (for BBA withPsychologyandcommunication)ortwice(forBBA in Entrepreneurship and InternationalManagement),thefirstoneaftercompletionofyear1andsecondafterthecompletionofyear 2. Studentswill be required to have aminimumof75%attendancetobeeligibletogoforanyofthese.
Company Visits
Companyvisitsareanintegralpartofourcurriculum.Duringthefirsttwoyearsthestudenthastoundergomandatory4companyvisitseachsemester.Thesevisitsareorganisedtoprovideanopportunitytolinkthedotsbetweenacademicsandpracticalbusinessscenarios.Interactingwiththemanagersandbusinessowners,youacquirefirst-handexperienceofhowtoleadaventuretosuccess.
SummerinternshipisacompulsoryandintegralpartofSBSSwissBusinessSchool'scurriculumand provides a valuable opportunity toworkcloselywithprofessionals in thechosenfield.Thishelpsstudentsdevelopknowledge, skillsandexperiencedirectlyrelatedtocareergoals.
The summer internship program providesstudents with practical experience with theprofessional world demands in terms ofknowledge, skills and attitude. The programrequires at least 8-12weeks of internship toobtain first-hand experience of the businessworld after the first and second year. Allstudents must complete and submit theirinternshipreports.
Students are expected to do internships inIndia or abroad and are continuouslysupervised. Studentswould be graded aftercompletionoftheirinternshipand3ECTSareawardedforeachinternship.Thestudentswillbeevaluatedfortheirinternshipperiodonthebasis of pre-defined criteria, which includessharing of learning experiences with thefaculty panel and assessment by thesupervisor.
