In the month of June, the Whitely Community Council teamed up with Michael Harris and TeenWorks to continue our beautification of the Whitely Community and the local park, with help from the Muncie Parks Department. Together we worked hard to complete important projects in McCulloch Park: painting the riverside view of the baseball

diamond fence, planting flower gardens, making the park entrance signs more attractive, installing and painting new posts to mark the parking spaces for drivers and visitors, and brightening up the landscape with paint on various rocks. MITS to Hold Public Hearings MITS will be holding a public hearing that will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 8:30am at the bus training and meeting facility at 1400 E Seymour. It is important that Muncie citizens affected by the bus routes and the Marsh closings have a voice. The public is welcome and it would be won-derful to have our concerns heard. Item #3 on the agenda invites the public to speak about the social, environmental and economic impact the changes will have.

Please consider attending the meeting to make your voice heard. MITS cannot meet public needs unless the public tells them what those needs are. Together we can make a difference.
