“ The Co-operative Education Coordinators on campus have been fantastic at guiding me through the entire co-op process. From introducing me to the co-op system in COOP 1100, to support throughout the application and interview process, the staff was very involved, and my success felt like a priority to them. During a session I attended as part of the course, they brought in past co-op students which gave me a really great idea of what to expect during my work terms.

In-stead, we are graded on our ability to design a menu, pur-chase food, operate a real restaurant and market it to friends and other students. This course has given me the opportunity to improve both my cooking skills and com-munication abilities which will both be helpful when I work in the hotel industry after graduation. ”Yidan (Amy) Dong Bachelor of Commerce, Hotel and Food Administration, Marketing minor High School - Father John Redmond Sec-ondary School, Etobicoke, ON Involve-ment – Work Study Student in Admission Services

“ I was nervous coming to a different country by myself, but U of G provided so much help and support throughout that transition. START International and the weekly International iChats were major highlights for me during my first year. I recommend future international students take advantage of the peer helpers, the international coordinators and the Student Experience team because the people who work there are so helpful and can answer all of your questions.
