Declarative Sentences
A declarative sentence is a sentence that tells something.
Here is an example of a declarativeSentence.
“I am going swimming today.”
Interrogative Sentences
Interrogative sentences are sentences that ask a question. An
example of an interrogative sentence is
“Is supper ready yet?”
Imperative Sentences
Imperative sentences are sentences that make a
command. An example of an imperative sentence is “Take
the trash out, please.”
Exclamatory Sentences
Exclamatory sentences are sentences that are said with emotion, such as anger or surprise. An example of an
exclamatory sentence is “Look at that huge animal!”
