Authoritarian or Autocratic The leader is the absolute authority on all matters, deciding

what to do. Although work may be completed in a way that the leader has specified, at the same time employees innovation is discouraged.

Advantage of Autocratic leadership

Works positively during emergency and stressful situations.

Quick decision making More group productivity while leader watches Better response to changes in the external environment

Disadvantages of Autocratic leadership Lack of involvement from the employee in the decision making process .

Autocratic leaders usually remain unpopular and damage working relationships with colleagues

their subordinates but fail to follow the technique in its entirety.

style

Laissez-faire or free-reinIn this style of leadership the leader gives limited direction

to workers. Workers are left with general task to tackle.

freedom to make decisions. The leader provides the followers with the

materials they need to accomplish their goals and answers questions to the follower's questions.
