• Advocacy journalism deals with writing toadvocate particular viewpoints or influencethe opinions of the audience.
• It also describes the use of journalismtechniques to promote a specific political orsocial cause.
Broadcast Journalism
• journalism which is the field of news andjournals which are broadcast or in other wordswe can say that it is published by electricalmethods, instead of the older methods suchas printed newspapers and posters
• e.g. Radio and Television.
Investigative Journalism
• Journalism that tries to discover informationof public interest that someone is trying tohide.
• It also includes serious crimes, politicalcorruption or corporate wrongdoing.
Tabloid Journalism
• Tabloid journalism is a newspaper of smallformat giving the news is condensed form,usually with illustrated often sensationalmaterial.
• It puts more stress on crime stories, astrology,gossip columns about the personal lives ofcelebrities and sports stars and junk foodnews.
Yellow Journalism
• Yellow journalism is also known assensationalism and it is writing whichemphasizes exaggerated claims or rumors.
• Yellow journalism which highlights little or nolegitimate well-researched news and insteaduses eye-catching headlines to sell morenewspapers.
Conclusion
• Journalism as one part of mass communicationand media studies. Journalism is the practice ofinvestigation and reporting of events, issues andtrends to a broad audience in a timely fashion.
• Journalism also covers cultural aspects of societysuch as arts and entertainment. The field includesediting, photojournalism and documentary.
