This particular journal was made for my Typography class in the fall of 2011 The idea here was to present a unique journal of your chosen daily "route" I chose my favorite Coffeeshop Naked Lounge in Downtown Sacramento. The idea for the box represented the hand-made and organic feel of the shop and the inside of the box is lined with the actual fabric from the couches that once adorned the shop. The colored paper was inspired by the plethora of gig posters on the bulletin board,so each 'poster' is based off of various venues,restaurants and businesses on the chosen route. The rubber stamp was also created to give that custom look and nailed down my grade in class :)

Over the course of this semesteri’ve learned quite a bit.
although I cannot actually repeat itoff the top of my head-it’s there!
Typography is everywhere-it is our language personified
and reflected in our material world.Without it, our language is missing
a piece of itself.
Serifs,San-serifs,,¤Ł¥þfi§All of them have a crucial creative purpose
in our world’s culture.
Type Crimes are themselves the product of overthinking ideas and trying too hard
not letting things come out naturally.
I still have a long way myself!
Typography and Design-to me are a humaninvention inspired by nature.
