The Type 8139 is a non-contact radar level measuring device for continuous level measurement.

-plastichornantenna(withmountingbracket),especiallysuitableformeas-urementsinopenflumesorgaugemeasurementinwater.

Thehighfocusoftheradarsignalandthehighmeasurementdynamicsallowexcellentmeasurementresultseveninsmall,narrowandhighcontainers,astheriskofsignalinterferencebyinstallations,constructionsandvesselwallsismuchlowered.Signaldamping,e.g.duetosignalrunninglength,foambuild-up,lowDKvaluesoftheliquids,hasamuchsmallereffect.

7. Product operation7.1. Measuring principle
Theradarmeasuringdeviceforthemeasurementofliquidlevelsconsistsofahousingwithelectronicsandaprocessconnectionwithantenna.Theantennaoftheradarsensoremitsacontinuousradarsignal.Thisisreflectedbytheliquidsurfaceandreceivedbytheantennaasanecho.Radarwavespropagateatthespeedoflight.Thefrequencydifferencebetweenthetransmittedandreceivedsignalisproportionaltothedistancetotheliquidsurface.Thefillingleveliscalculatedandconvertedintoacorrespondingoutput signal and transmitted as a measured value.
Themeasuringrangeoftheradarlevelmeasuringdevicebeginsphysicallyattheendoftheantenna.However,themin./max.adjust-mentbeginsatthereferenceplane.Thereferenceplaneisdifferentdependingonthesensorversion.• Plastichornantenna:thereferenceplaneisthesealingsurfaceontheloweredge
