@ INTERNATIONAL EBPJD-0002-EN-9710Keystone reserves the right to change products designs and specifications without notice.

The Figure 14 has a one piece disc stem, a fieldreplaceable seat and a wide range of materialcombinations to meet most severe applications.

Features Actuator flange acc. ISO 5211. Top bushing absorbs actuator side

thrust loads. The extended body neck allows pipe

insulation. Body locating holes provide easy

installation and a perfect centering ofthe valve between the flanges.

    Wafer type split-body design speci-fied acc. ISO 5752/5 short. (DIN3202, Part 3/K1)

The one-piece wafer thin disc stemprovides the very minimum obstruc-tion to flow.

Rounded, polished disc edge givesfull concentric sealing, lower tor-ques, longer seat life and bubble-tight shut-off.

Primary stem sealing by preloadedcontact between flatted seat surfaceand rounded polished disc-hub areaexceeds the pressure rating of thevalve and prevents leakage throughshaft area to atmosphere.

A secondary sealing is provided bythe interference fit between shaftand shafthole in seat at all positions.

A molded-in O-ring provides flangesealing and eliminates need for gas-kets.

The seat is field replaceable and fullyisolates the body and stem from theflow.

Dirtscraper prevents moisture pene-trating into the shaft area.

General applicationFood and beverage processing, drybulk conveying, paper mills, slurryhandling etc. These valves are for anyservice where a bubble-tight shut-offwith maximum flow area is required. Ithas smooth flow characteristics, abrasion, erosion and corrosion

resistance and a crevice free internalcontour. For drinking waterapplications a certified EPDMcompound available. Grease orsilicone free valves availablefor special applications such as paintor oxygen systems.Figure 14 with PTFE lined seat isideally suited to applications whereexcellent chemical resistance and non-toxic properties are required, as arecommonly encountered in thechemical, petrochemical andpharmaceutical industries.

    Note

1.Rated Kv = the volume of water inm3/hr that will pass through a givenvalve opening at a pressure drop of1 bar.

    Notes

1.The given maximum allowable shafttorques are applicable for standardtype valves.

2.In ISO 5211/2 a table is listedrepresenting the maximum torqueswhich can be transmitted throughthe mounting flange. These valuesare based upon specific criteria andcan be lower than the maximumallowable shaft torques. In this casethe criteria can be changed in orderto reach the maximum allowableshaft torques.

    Notes

1.Application I :Water, seawater, lubricating types ofhydrocarbons. Temp.: 0-80C;Valve opens at least once a month.Application II :All other liquid applications andlubricating gasses.Application III :Non lubricating and dry media.

2.The charted maximum sizingoperating torque is the sum of allfriction and resistance for openingand closing of the disc against theindicated pressure differential.

3.The effect of dynamic torque is notconsidered in tabulation.

4.In sizing operators it is notnecessary to include safety-factors

    Notes

    1.Dynamic operating torque formula:TD = FT x P

TD = Dynamic torque (Nm)P = Pressure drop across disc at

    desired disc-opening (bar)FT = Dynamic torque factor

    (see table)2.The above mentioned dynamic

    torque includes all frictionalresistances.

3.The dynamic torque is tending toclose the disc.
