• Tutoring and mentoring activities – Upper Class JROTC Leaders are Mentors

• Weekly After-School Study Hall.– Typically held on Wednesday after School

• Upper class Cadets work with Instructors– Gain Information about Students Requiring Help– Motivate and Inspire to Improve

Improve Morale to Increase Retention

• Host a minimum of one Social Events (preferably two) per semester which are not required– Picnics, Sports/Game Competition Events and/or

Holiday Parties• Increase pride through participation and practice

for special teams drill meets/activities– Focus on Practices which net higher Winning at

Drill/Competition Events– Place more Underclassmen in Leadership roles to

increase Pride and Ownership at Lower Grade Levels

(Recruiting) Minimum of one feeder (middle) school visit per semester; Advertise JROTC activities to other schools to include participation in middle school activities.

• Work with Junior Cadet Corps Color Guards– Mentoring in leadership and discipline

• Model JROTC teamwork to recruit middle school students (Reflects School Impact Goal 1)

• Visit Middle School student body through invitational events during/after school

Increase campus support in broad-reaching goal of Cadet Involvement Across Student Body Activities

• Create working relationships across organizational boundaries to develop opportunities– Campus Events Supporting WHHS Club functions

(i.e., Holiday at the Hills and such ongoing Events• Includes getting JROTC Cadets into various campus

Organizations (Key Club, NHS, Spanish NHS, etc).• Fundraising and Various activities supporting our school

Note: Goal is to Maintain a visible and active JROTC program on our own campus highlighting excitement and energy students gain by being in JROTC

Increase Community Service through diverse and broad activities.

• 2100 hours of Group community service with an average of 14 hours per cadet– Minimum of two highway cleanups per semester– One assisted living home visit per semester (assist

and work with senior citizens)– One elementary visit per semester (mentoring

children through reading and/or other motivational activities)

Provide active and engaging support to surrounding community through activities and charitable efforts

• Three non-perishable food drives with a goal of 1000 pounds of food collected per drive

• Participate in "Toys for Tots" and local adopt-a-family for Christmas program(s)– Provide holiday (winter weather) support to elementary

school to include gifts and jackets for needy children– Hosting/supporting elementary campus party with book

reading, games, etc• Participate in care package deliveries to deployed

troops and/or through charitable organizations
