ORGANIC IMAGES IN THE PERMANENT COLLECTION
ORGANIC as an art term refers to something having the characteristics of living things. Buildings, letters of the alphabet, etc, can be depicted as organic. For the sake of comparison, look at this piece by Yumiko Irei-Gokce (left). It depicts plant life. Although the selections below do not depict plant life, they have the organic twists and turns characteristic of plants.
