Part 1 of 3: Twin Flames

I believe the reason astrology exists is to shed light on misinterpreted phenomena and enlighten individuals to their inner dispositions. Its critical for people to understand why something is happening in a particular situation because it strengthens the soul. Twin Flames are a valuable phenomenon that brings fundamental change to the way we see the world in not solely an esoteric view, but also in scientific one as well. When people understand the concept of twin flames, they understand the last two centuries of connections with what we call karmic bonds. In fact, the twin flames bond takes a relationship to a much more sophisticated level * The numbering is the sound of the numbers as they are called in Greek.

Pythagoras believed that numbers had their own vibration and had a meaning helping people reach their balance when they used them. Lets begin our travel: ena*) The Myth of Gemini Gemini are an especially important sign. To a great degree their mythology is affected by what we call twin flames today. Geminis myth shows many faces in ancient cultures: Cain and Abel, Ahura Mazda and Ahriman, Castor and Pollux and others In Cain and Abels myth, we recognize the sociological fight between the shepherds and the farmers; a very important conflict of lifestyles in the ancient world with Cain killing his own brother. In Persian Mythology, Zarathustra believes the world is separated between good and evil and both are equal. Those powers of good and evil try to destroy one another. Through this conflict, the world is developed and survives. At this point, we see there are powers in eastern cultures where dualism brings conflict and destruction between opposites. Middle Easter Mystics believe opposites conflict each other. Even now many people fight with themselves and others. They find it difficult to promote a healthy everyday life, free of conflicts and destruction. Unfortunately, the typical western man has been influenced by the delusion of conflict between opposites. For this reason, he has lost contact with himself and his twin soul. The persistent thought that only one lifestyle is correct has led many to psychologists and others to unhappiness. The Far East has also developed the concept of Yin and Yang: powers that follow one another. As the

world evolves, this circular movement is completely natural. The Gemini constellation also represents the our detached nature from ourselves. We remain alone and undeveloped. In the Greek legend of Castor and Pollux both children were sons of Zeus and Leda. In traditional Greek mythology, Leda is symbolized by a swan, a symbol of peace and harmony. According to the myth, the twins participated in the Argonautic crusade. The twins were considered great heroes. In a battle with another pair of twins, Castor who was mortally wounded. Pollux was divine and asked his father Zeus to share his immortality with his brother. Zeus accepted. When one brother was on Olympus the other was in the kingdom of Hades (the underworld). In this way, the twins were switching positions until the day they finally became stars in the sky; symbols of duality between mortal and immortal human nature. The myth shows that we want our inner dualistic natures to communicate, and if we succeed we will be able to traverse to another dimension of reality. By accepting both natures we accept the whole universe. The myth of Gemini also says everything is split into two. Everything works on dyads, and if we want to become whole then our inner dimensions need to communicate. It is very important that the Gemini legend finished with the ultimate act of love: the immortal brother sacrificed half his immortality and shared the shadow with his mortal brother. Geminis correspond to the mutable signs and the mutable cross; the cross which is the archetype of the incarnation and crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Gods who correspond to the mutable cross usually do so for the sake of life and sacrifice themselves for something greater. In mutable sign stories the answer for the

dualistic Hell is always Love. Love is the ultimate force in the universe because it changes, transforms and enlightens us. Even Freud was pessimistic about human nature and admits there are two universal forces in the universe. According to Freud, one is love and the other is death. According to esoteric astrology the Gemini sign is not ruled by Hermes, the god of intellectuality and duality, but it is ruled by Aphrodite, the goddess of biding and eternity. According to ancient texts, Aphrodites symbol is the symbol of eternity, the eternal knot. Esoteric astrology understands the dualistic terrorism can only be healed through love. The Gemini constellation exists to remind us that only through inner love and real understanding with our beloved one can we heal and release ourselves from the bonds of sadness and sorrow. From the 12 labors of Hercules, a myth that corresponds with the Gemini legends, are the Apples of the Esperides. In this labor Hercules finds his inner voice Nireas, his inner teacher who makes him understand wrath and that our dark side is not constructive. Through Nireas guidance Hercules finds the apples and succeeds in another labor. According to the myth Hercules decides to travel south. After seeing Atlas, holder of the the skies, Hercules sees the burden of having a mission. Through various interpretations of this specific labor Hercules finally understands and respects his divine self (Nireas) who found him in the beginning of his perils. Sometimes we choose to come to life, or have a mission because we are ignorant of the divinity of ourselves. Only through

the battleground of life can we learn to respect our divinity. We will see in the next step how important the apples are for someone to understand the duality of existence and why the twin flames exist. dio*) The Myth of the Apple It is very important to look at the myth of the apples, which also corresponds to Gemini. Another couple, Adam and Eve, live peacefully in paradise. They are able to live happily together with no pains for eternity. God protects them in his womb and makes them feel secure. One day the Devil disguised as an evil snake convinces Eve to bite an apple from the forbidden tree; the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When Eve bites the apple she convinces Adam to bite it as well. When this happens they understand the principles of duality. They learn what is good and evil, and feel ashamed of their nakedness. As a result, God throw them out of paradise. This myth is very important because it tells us knowledge of good and evil starts within life itself. We live in a dualistic world and Gemini corresponds to the reason why humanity comes to manifestation in this planet. We have to learn through opposites. Thats why Gemini, Hermes and Aphrodite correspond to the second, fourth and fifth rays. The second ray is of love and wisdom and as we said before it is the key to freeing ourselves. The fourth is the ray of harmony through conflict and the conflict of opposites. Finally the fifth is the ray of concrete knowledge, the human itself who is symbolized by a pentacle, the symbol of man. This means mankind needs to go through conflict of the dualistic kingdom and then to harmonize.

Greek, Persian, Egyptian, Babylonian, Chinese and Indian civilizations couldnt understand the world without the concept of duals. Dualism through Christianity became even stronger, but then duality of things was understood as something bad when things get worse. Mind and body were different for people even a decade ago. For monotheistic religious beliefs part of life had no significance. The only thing that mattered was the spiritual world. Modern science responded to that by attempting a nihilistic point of view, denying everything spiritual and seeing only one dimension of human existence. Weve lost the balance and are slaves of the dualistic conflict. This is one reason why our relationships suffer. There are two kinds of people: those who give too much and those who take too much. We have lost the inner meaning of our relationships. We have relationships not because of our inner needs but because we dont want to be alone. We want sex, money and everything else, except intimacy. We live on the edge of opposites and not between them. The triumph of the fourth ray of harmony through conflict leads people to continually fight with themselves and with others. Usually people never reach harmony because they are trapped in conflicts. Depression, loneliness, abandonment and sorrow are

the major psychological problems of the new era. In the darkness, new age philosophy emerged to give a solution and better understanding. What we have to understand is opposites are part of ourselves. We have to remember that everything is One and finally comprehend the wise words of the ancient philosopher Heraclitus. tessera*) What Are The Twin Flames According to theory, twin flames are two people existing in the world with a strong bond between them. When the environment is helpful, those flames compose the ultimate romantic relationship. When the soul enters the human kingdom it split itself into two parts. As we said before, the entrance for Earth is Cancer. Before entering Earth we have to split ourselves in the Gemini stage. By splitting ourselves and souls in two bodies, we learn the world through opposites and acquire more understanding of the Cosmos. Imagine it as a light, a single ray divided through a prism into several colors. When we meet our other half instantly a very powerful attraction is created. Sometimes it may be our teacher, a parent, or even a friend. Many times this creates a powerful relationship which we call as love without frontiers. This love shapes and changes the connected beings forever. Through the relationship they become stronger and happier. They reach harmony and have stability in their lives. pente*) How We Can Find If Two Persons Are Twin Flames An astrologer usually has a difficulty time answering if two persons are each others twin flame because the basic instruments are not helpful. Longitudanal charts as we know them are not very helpful if we dont know some other important techniques. First of all, we have to understand that according to what weve discussed, a twin flame is the other half of the soul when is splits entering the human kingdom through geminian influences. This means our soul splits into opposites and we have to find our other half. In astrology, we are full of opposites; the chart itself is built through opposites. Aries and Libra, Taurus and Scorpio, Gemini and Sagittarius, Cancer and Capricorn, Leo and Aquarius, Virgo and Pisces. All of these are polarities that work among themselves. It is very important when we try to find our twin soul to share opposing planets with the other person. Astrologers and people usually try to avoid opposition because medieval thought used to believe it was a bad aspect. In fact, oppositions between two charts may create some conflicts, but they are very important when you want to have a relationship that really contributes to individuals.

Planets in opposition between two charts are very important when we try to trigger the twin flame relationship. We have to be very careful because we dont just want the planets to be in opposition but also in contra-parallel. Only when two planets are in opposition and in contra-parallel can we talk about the possibility of a twin flame relationship. The first criterion is opposition. The other criterion is a very important concept we call Antiscia. The degree when the planet has equal day-time is called antiscia. For example the antiscia of a planet in 21o of Taurus is 09o of Leo. But according to theory twin flames are not based on similarity, so antiscia is not in reality the real point we look for because a person that has a lot of planets in our antiscia points has similarities with us, not oppositions.

The point that is in opposition with Antiscia is Contra-Antiscia. So a person with his planet in 21o Taurus has his contra-antiscia point in 9o of Aquarius. So when a person has a lot of planets in our contra-antiscia points this means that he is probably a twin flame for us. At this point, we have to combine both techniques. We have to see if any planets are in opposition and contra-parallel at the same time but also to find if there are any connections with each others contra-antiscia points. Of course there are other secondary things an astrologer should look at. First of all we have to look at whether or not the person of interest has planets in the water houses (fourth, eighth and twelfth). Although the fourth house sometimes can give us information about whether or not the person found his father or mother and not his twin flame, for this reason we have to be careful with the interpretation. The reverse is also very important. If we have planets in the other persons water houses then we increase the probability of a twin flame relationship. Secondly we have to see if there are planets of the person who form aspects with our retrograde planets, especially Venus. A lot of people with Venus retrograde have high probability to meet their twin flame. Retrograde planets may sometimes be identified with karma but in fact if the theory of twin flames exists, then every time there is an incarnation, every time our soul happens to split our karma partners may be our twin flame. The last thing we have to look at is on the Composite chart (the chart where we combine the two persons natal charts) is if our twelfth and first houses have lots of planets. The most important thing is if there is a spark. As we said before there has to be a spark, a light between two people, a flame of passion, love and

understanding that they have never felt before. Combining the emotions of the couple and the astrological influences we can easily understand if that is a twin flame relationship or not. eksi*) What Psychology Says Modern psychology believes that human beings in a century of depression and loneliness try to find ways to believe in what they have lost. People usually dont communicate anymore and they are alone. Relationships usually are short, do not involve intense emotions, and neither individuals gets what they want. People suffer from low self-worth, people who had destructive relations in the past and people with extreme romanticism as a way of living, try to anchor themselves from a lie. For modern psychology the concept of twin flame is a lie, a hope. A person needs to find another person to stand in his life. Usually persons that need so much to belong to another person, create this illusion because of their weakness. But if this is really a delusion does it matter? People who believe in God are statistically proven to handle disease, anxiety, depression and other bad feelings better. People who believe have increased probabilities to succeed in their targets. Faith for people is something that can move even mountains. No matter if the twin flame relationship really exists, for modern science it is important because it is people who believe and belong to the relationship make it real. If two persons believe, then it is assuredly true; the difference between reality and illusion is always between behavior and actions on one side and theory on the other.
