ToswitchfrommeasuringAreatomeasuringDistance,clickthedownarrowandclickonwhichtoolyouwanttouse.
10. Todrawalinetomeasure,clickoncetostartdrawing,oncetoputdownanymidpoints,anddoubleclicktofinishdrawing.Thedrawnlineisblackwhileyouarestilldrawing,andwhenyou
doubleclickitwillturnblueanddisplayameasurement.
11. Ifyouwanttostopdrawingalinesegmentthatyoudon’twanttokeep,hittheEscapekeyon
yourkeyboard.12. Ifyouwanttodrawanotherlinetomeasure,juststartclickingagain.Note,however,thatthe
newdrawingsmaygetinthewayofseeingtheold,ortheoldmeasurementsmaybeinthewayofseeingwhereyouwanttostartaline.

14. Clickonthelineyouwanttogetridof.Aboxwillpopupforthatdrawingmeasurement.ClickonDeleteifyouwanttodeleteit.ClicktheXifyouwanttokeepit.
TO MEASURE AN AREA 15. ClickontheToolsbuttontoexpandit,andthentheAreabutton.
IfDistanceisshowinginsteadofArea,clickonthepull-downarrownexttoDistancetochangeitfrommeasuringDistancetoArea.
16. Todrawanareaforthetooltomeasure,justclickonpointsonthemap.Tofinalizethearea,doubleclick.Abluepolygonwillnowshowtheoutlineofyourdrawing,andablackboxwillshowtheAreaandPerimeter.
17. Todrawanothershape,juststartclicking,anddoubleclicktofinish.Thenewmeasurementswilldisplaywhenyouaredone.
Notethatareasthataresmallerthanabout15feetby15feettendtobehiddenbehindthemeasurementsbox.Thereiscurrentlynowaytodragtheboxfurtheraway.Inthesecases,itmaybeeasiertouselinemeasurementsinsteadofareas,soyoucanseethedetailsbetter.
TO DELETE AN AREA SHAPE Sometimesyouwillwanttogetridofameasurement,perhapsbecauseyoumadeamistake,wanttore-doit,orwanttoseetheareamoreclearlytodrawanewshape.
18. ClickontheAreaboxtostopdrawing.
19. Clickontheshapeyouwanttogetridof.Aboxwillpopupforthatdrawingmeasurement.
ClickonDeleteifyouwanttodeleteit.ClicktheXifyouwanttokeepit.
NOTE:Thereisnoeasywaytodeleteashapethathas0area.Ifyouaccidentallydrawoneofthese,youwillneedtocompletelycloseoutthewindowandreloadthewebpagefromthebeginning.(Thisisaknownproblemandweareworkingongettingitfixed.Weareverysorryfortheinconvenience.)
TO ADD POINTS AND ARROWS Ifyouwanttoaddanarrowtodrawattentiontosomethingonthemap,
20. Rightclickonthemap,andclickonDrawaPoint
21. Clickonthenewpoint,andaDrawingboxwillappear.22. Ifyouwanttomovethepoint,justrightclickonitanddragitwhereyouwantit.
23. Tochangethepointstylefromabluedottoanythingelse,clickonStyles.
24. Choosefromeitherthecommonstylesofcircles,boxes,ordiamonds.

Within“ChooseanImage”youcanchangetheLibrarytoArrows.
25. Whenyouaresatisfied,clickDone.
