TUTORIAL SHEET-3
Que1:- A full wave rectifier circuit is required to give a DC output voltage of 80V. Neglect the resistance of diode . Find
1)DC load current if RL is 5000 ohm.
2)Efficiency of rectifier.
3)Peak current through Diode
Que2:- Draw the cuircuit connected in black box to obtain the shown output waveform for given sinusoidal input.
Que3:-The input voltage to the two level clipper circuit shown below varies linearly from 0 to 150V. Show the output voltage to the same time scale as the input voltage. Assume ideal diode.
Que4:-A Bridge rectifier has an output DC current of 20mA and a filter capacitance of 470µF. Find the peak to peak ripple voltage if the ripple frequency is 100Hz.
Que5:-Calculate the dynamic resistance of an ideal diode at 170C, when a current of 1 mA flows through the diode .
