IN YOUR BACKYARD
FESTIVAL OF KITES AT TUSCAN LAKES!!
On Saturday, April 13th, the skies above Tuscan Lakes were filled with giant kites launched by Stephen
Newberry of Kites Unlimited. Families and pets spent the day playing games by Kiddie Academy,
snapping photos in a photo booth, listening to great music and competeing with their dogs in the Pawty
Dress Up Contest!
• May - Weekends only 10 am to 9 pm
• June, July and August: Tuesday – Sunday, 10 am to 9 pm
• September: Weekends Only, 10 am to 9 pm
• Closed Mondays for maintenance.
• HOLIDAYS: Open Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. If the holiday falls on a Monday, the pool
will be closed on the following Tuesday for maintenance. Pack your pool bag and get ready for fun in

It’s time to make a slash! And, what a better way to cool off on those hot summer days than at Cypress Point Pool! Admittance to the pool requires a pool access card. Open weekends starting Saturday, May 4th, 10am to 9pm. Don’t have your access card or have misplaced them, email Warren at [email protected].

Unfortunately, he wrecks everything, accidentally unleashing a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade.

NATURE EXPO IN TUSCAN LAKESResidents’ got a firsthand and up close and personal experience with baby alligators and non- poisonous snakes and raptors at the Tuscan Lakes Information Center while learning about native plants and vegetation, native wildlife and a water education interactive exhibit.
Camp By The CreekSummer is a time to play in the sun, exercise, and swim! Where can your children do all of this? Camp by the Creek! This year’s camp will be held Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. extended care is available from 7:00 am - 9:00 am, and from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm for an additional fee. Our energetic and talented camp staff will entertain campers with different programs: arts and craft, games, field trips, and outdoor activities. Camp is designed for children ages 6-12.

MAY LANDSCAPE TIPS
• Plant caladiums for summer color once the
soil has reached 70°.
• Prune and fertilize your azaleas after they
have finished blooming.
• Fertilize roses, following manufacturers
instruction and water in well. Repeat every
four to six weeks.
• Weed your beds and apply mulch
to discourage growth, maintain soil
temperatures and retain moisture.
• Check your irrigation system to ensure that it
is operating properly.
• Pinching back growth on newly planted
annuals and perennials will result in shorter,
more compact, well-branched plants with
more flowers.
• Remove foliage that has yellowed from
spring blooming bulbs

A homeowner desiring to make any change, modification or addition to his or her yard, driveway, patio, garage, fencing or home exterior must fill out an application to be reviewed by the Architectural Review Committee. Examples of additions include storage sheds, basketball goals and yard art.
