Marafiq STG-5 & 6 Project

Electrical Department Turn-over Notes (Narrative)

A) Erection of 380kV GIS

Pending work is the approval by T & D of the Method Statement for 380KV GIS Bus Stability and Sensitivity Tests. The latest update was that, Isent an e-mail addressed to Mr. Dawoud of Marafiq on 30 th Oct. 2012 withthe attached revised M/S (Revision-1) for second pass review and /or approval. Up to this writing, no response yet received from them (T & D).

Please note that without the completion of this task, other works for the

380kV will not proceed to include the establishment of controlcommunication and status signals between the GIS and LDC andassociated works during the N- and S outages.

Consequently, the ultimate tie-in of the new GIS to the existing with theinstallation of Bus Adapters will not push through as scheduled.

Lighting installation inside the Box Culvert is not yet done. RequestHanwha to submit approved layout drawing for review; and subsequently

proceed to installation should there be no comment.

Access Door located at the north side of Building 21 is now obstructed bythe installation of IPBs members and structural supports of the new 380kVGIS erection. The Access Door steps shall be re-furbished to a newdirection to avoid the obstruction of the same. (Note: This is a civil work refer it to Civil Discipline)

B) Erection of 115KV GIS

Earlier, with the switching of the GIS breakers and associated On-lineDisconnect Switches and Earth Switch only proved that work for the same

was completed prior to the powering up of Start-up Transformer No. 5.However, with my latest intimation with Hanwhas Mr. Ju-young Lee, hewas informed by LDC that they are not getting status signals of the LineDisconnect Switches and Earth Switches; hence, inhibiting the switchingof the breaker to energize Start-up Transformer No. 6.

C) Start-up Transformer

A Comment Tracker for FAT and SAT Reports for transformers wasforwarded by myself (P. Zandueta) to Marafiq Mr. Aresteo Olaybar via e-mail on 11 th Oct, 2012, awaiting for approval.

As of 14 th Oct. 2012, an e-mail received from Ju-young Lee disclosed thatMr. Aristeo had already responded on the Comment Tracker whichsubsequently forwarded to Mr. Dawoud. Follow-up shall be made for thisissue for immediate closure.

Note: Approval of the Comment Tracker for FAT and SAT reports forTransformers wherein Start-up Transformer No.6 is included; andcompletion of the verification and restoration of the open andclosed status of Line Disconnect Switches and Earth Switches of 115kV GIS at LDC will conclude when the Start-up Transformerswill be energized.

D) STG 5 & 6

Some bits and pieces of work still to be done for STG-5 & 6 as follows:

1) Cathodic protection for STG 5 & 62) Lighting Fixture installation inside AVR Room, STG-6, Mezzanine Floor 3) Installation of additional lighting fixture in STG-5 & 6.4) CT and PT testing for LV MCCs5) Laying of cable and testing for FGD6) Lighting Fixture inspection for Aeration Fan Area7) Inspection for Lightning System for STG-5 & 68) Inspection for Lightning System for CPP

E) Motor Run Test

One motor run test will be conducted at DM Plant9) 9 motor run test will be conducted at CPP.

Note: Each of the above listed tasks will be done with an RFI provided by HanwhaQA/QC Dept.
