State the prompt. Scholars have 30 seconds to “write to think.”

Designate the SPEAKER. The speaker addresses the T&T prompt. Use “ACE”

What To Do: Explain Partner Switch. Student A speaks; Student B listens; Student B paraphrases SWITCH Student B speaks; Student A listens; Student A paraphrases REFLECT

Indicate total time. The speaker will have 60 seconds. The timer will go off. The listener will have 30 seconds to paraphrase.

Ready Position. Turn towards each other and make eye contact.
