Turkmenistan consistently implementing major projects in the energy sector, it demonstrates a highly responsible approach to international cooperation and taking these to specific initiatives, including the establishment of multi-variant system of transportation of hydrocarbons and the formation of a reliable mechanism for the safe transit of energy resources to world markets.

A clear evidence of this is put forward by the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in December 2008. and in May 2013 by the General Assembly of the United Nations resolution "Reliable and Stable Transit of Energy and Its Role in Ensuring Sustainable Development and International Cooperation", which caused a great response of the world community.
